The Last Of Us inspired webseries "What Remains" debuts

As one of the most highly anticipated titles to come out this year, Naughty Dog's survival horror entry entitled "The Last Of Us" is a Playstation 3 exclusive and is finally seeing release for the console this June 14. Since its reveal last December 2011 at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, the game has gotten a lot of people interested and invested on the plot, which features two survivors trying to navigate a post-apocalyptic America that was ravaged by a fungal virus that killed millions and turned most into creatures known as "The Infected".

Inspired by the plot and dedicated to making a fanfilm based on the series, gaming filmmaking group Manifest Films have created a pretty good homage series that they call "What Remains", which is set in the same world and universe as "The Last Of Us". The pilot episode was just released, and introduces us to two characters that meet for the first time and find themselves in a situation that sees them having to work together and trust each other in order to survive.

As one of the big superhero movies aimed to hit next year for "Phase 2" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Guardians Of The Galaxy sounds just as ambitious as its title proclaims it to be, but could very well be one of the big and unexpected epic blockbuster films to look forward to in 2014!

Marvel Movies: Quicksilver to appear in both Avengers 2 and X-Men: Days Of Future Past

It's fast and breaking news on the Marvel Movies front literally, as it looks like the character of Pietro Maximoff, aka Quicksilver, won't be appearing in just one Marvel film... But two!

Announced by director Bryan Singer via his official Twitter Page, Evan Peters has been cast to play Pietro Maximoff/ Quicksilver in the next X-Men movie - X-Men: Days Of Future Past

The news comes hot in the heels of Avengers movie director Joss Whedon's confirmation that Quicksilver and his sister Wanda Maximoff/ The Scarlet Witch are going to be included in The Avengers 2... And that means two versions of the same character will be in both movies!

Marvel Movies: Spider-Man film franchise will "Never Ever Ever" leave Sony's hands

With The Amazing Spider-Man 2 currently in production, you'd think that the web-slinger would slowly but surely join his brethren in Marvel Studios once filming was complete. Rumors persisted that Sony Pictures was considering selling the rights back to the House of Ideas and Walt Disney Pictures, thereby setting the wall-crawler alongside his fellow superheroes.

Well, looks like that isn't happening anytime soon, as Ain't It Cool confirmed in a conversation with Sony Pictures Co-Chairman Amy Pascal regarding the rumor. She confirms that Sony will "never ever ever" let the rights to Spidey go away, and why would they? Given Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy and the Marc Webb reboot in 2012 and it's upcoming sequel next year, that's a money-generating hero for the studio that'll keep them happy as well as viewers themselves. They've done a terrific job with both interpretations thus far, and while The Amazing Spider-Man rebooted things to a slow start, the sequel may pave the way for something greater.

For more information, visit the source post at Ain't It Cool and Bleeding Cool.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past: First look at Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique!

Continuing his trend of set photo teases from his official Twitter page, director Bryan Singer has revealed this awesome photo of Jennifer Lawrence reprising her role at the shapeshifting mutant Mystique in the upcoming new X-Men film for 2014 "X-Men: Days Of Future Past"! Embracing her heritage this time around, Lawrence is looking like how Rebecca Romijn played the role back in the first three X-Men films, with no clothing and all revealing in blue!

Kevin Conroy to appear in "New Arkham Game", not Batman: Arkham Origins

Looks like confusion came through earlier for the big news that was "Batman: Arkham Origins", and now we have confirmation from "The Voice of Batman" himself, Kevin Conroy, that puts matters to rest.

After it was announced that Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker would be playing the roles of Batman and The Joker respectively in Arkham Origins, fans were wondering what role Conroy would be playing in the prequel. Turns out that he was referring to ANOTHER ARKHAM GAME during his presscon at this year's Dallas Comic Con, and it's something that hasn't been officially announced yet. He announced it in his official Twitter page, but that post has since been deleted.

For more insight on the matter, visit the source post at Batman-News. If you haven't seen the trailer or read the new details on Arkham Origins, click on the links to do so.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on October 25.

Batman: Arkham Origins: New screenshots, info, and The Joker returns (or appears for the first time)!

Following up on the impressive 5 minute long debut trailer, WB Games and WB Games Montreal have released a couple of new screenshots for their upcoming new prequel in the Batman Arkham video game series - Batman: Arkham Origins! Highlighting these of course is the very first look at The Joker, as he appears in the game!

Of course, the last time people saw The Clown Prince of Crime was at the 2011 video game smash hit Batman: Arkham City, where the character apparently met his demise after a final titanic battle with the Caped Crusader. His appearance in Arkham Origins isn't surprising given it's a prequel, but he'll be voiced by a different man - namely Troy Baker, since the "Voice of Joker" from Batman: The Animated Series and the previous two Arkham Games, legendary Star Wars actor Mark Hamill, has stated that he isn't returning for the role. It's also been confirmed that Kevin Conroy won't be voicing Batman... Rather it'll be Roger Craig Smith of Sonic The Hedgehog and Assassin's Creed Ezio Auditore fame. Instead, Conroy will be back for a mysterious role... Which we'll find out sooner what it is or later.

In the meantime, check out more worth screenshots via Batman-News, and that AWESOME trailer if you haven't yet!

Batman: Arkham Origins is slated for release in the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U on October 25th!

Batman: Arkham Origins: Full Trailer #1 arrives online

After showing off a short but sweet teaser trailer of the game featuring Batman duking it off against Deathstroke, Warner Bros. Games and DC Comics have finally unveiled the full first trailer to their upcoming prequel to the Batman: Arkham games, Batman: Arkham Origins!

Storywise, the game takes place in Gotham City during Christmas Eve, where a young and more inexperienced Batman must contend with criminals like Black Mask and assassins like Deathstroke The Terminator who are out to kill him! It was also recently revealed that the "Voice of Batman" Kevin Conroy will return to his signature role, and DLC content for the game will feature Deathstroke as a playable character!

Batman: Arkham Origins: Kevin Conroy will return as Batman in Next Arkham Game!

Watch out, Batfans! Looks like a familiar voice and presence is going to be in the next Arkham game after all!

In a report by Batman fansite Arkhamverse and contradicting an earlier report by NAG Magazine, legendary Batman: The Animated Series voice actor Kevin Conroy has confirmed during his appearance in this year's Dallas Comic Con that he'll be returning to voice Batman in the "Next Arkham Game"! The actor has also stated during his Q&A Panel Discussion that he has been working on the new game for the past "nine to ten months", signing a non-disclosure agreement and not specifically saying what his new project it. Of course, many are already assuming it's "Batman: Arkham Origins" and/ or its handheld spin-off game Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, and that's a good thing if it is that. Otherwise, will it be another Batman game? Either way, it's all good as long as Kevin Conroy voices The Bat!
