Nightwing: The Series - Episode 1 debuts on YouTube


After much build up and anticipation since it was announced and kickstarted to be made into a series, Ismahawk has finally released the long awaited first episode of his daring and awesome nod to one of DC Comics greatest charactersm former Robin, and longtime ally of Batman with "Nightwing: The Series".



The first episode, aptly titled "Deathstroke" has two well-known rivals of the DC Universe battling it out in epic fashion, in just about what one would expect from something starring Dick Grayson and his high-flying alter ego.

Batman: U.S. Postal Service celebrates Batman 75 with exclusive stamps of The Dark Knight


In celebration of Batman's 75th Anniversary this year, the US Postal Service is releasing five exclusive stamp designs of The Caped Crusader as he appeared through the years in DC Comics to commemorate the occasion!



The stamps, featured in USA Today and Superherohype, will be released at this year's New York Comic Con, and will soon find its way to US retailers soon afterward, making it a prized collector's item for anyone who's a Batfan.

ICYMI: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain TGS '14 Trailers now English Dubbed


During last week's Tokyo Game Show, Hideo Kojima teased some more cinematics and gameplay for his upcoming new installment in the Metal Gear Solid franchise in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The new trailers showed not only more action from the mysterious new character known as "Quiet", but meeting a new friend for the legendary soldier known as "Big Boss" to take with him to battle... "D.D", or "Diamond Dog" the wolf dog.

Now, we get the trailers in English dub, with Kiefer Sutherland voicing Big Boss, aka Venom Snake.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Blu-Ray and DVD to be released on December 9



Mark your dates, Awesome Mix fans... James Gunn has announced that his contribution to the Marvel Cinematic Universe - Guardians of the Galaxy, is officially arriving for Blu-Ray and DVD on December 9!

Via his official Facebook page and a report from CosmicBookNews, the director confirmed the great news:

"Yep. Guardians of the Galaxy is out on Blu-Ray December 9 and you can pre-order it now on Amazon. There are lots of extra features that will be announced soon, but one of them is commentary by me."

So there you have it. Be sure to pre-order in Amazon or your nearest video retailer!

Big Hero 6: Theatrical Trailer 2 debuts online


Coming out this November and inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, Walt Disney Pictures has released the brand new trailer to their upcoming new 3D animated film feature and superhero comedy film, Big Hero 6!

Happy 62nd Birthday, Christopher "Superman" Reeve!

He truly is a legend and an icon that will always be remembered and never forgotten... And the guy who made us believe a man can fly celebrates his 62nd Birthday this day.


Starring in the 1978 Richard Donner directed Superman: The Movie, Christopher Reeve was the man who brought to life Kal-El/ Clark Kent, the last son of Krypton who would be rocketed to Earth and become known as the Man of Steel and superhero Superman. Reeve's iconic presence and natural charisma would give his portrayal of Supes so much resonance and identity that it will forever be remembered as a classic visage and representation of one of DC Comics' iconic heroes... And we honor his memory by remembering him for being SUPER... Forever and always.

ICYMI: Stephen Amell teases the upcoming "Arrow and The Flash" crossover


Already gearing up for the start of their third and first seasons of their shows respectively, Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin are set to suit up as both Arrow and The Flash respectively... And both DC Comics heroes will be teaming up in their future episodes for a superhero crossover story arc of epic proportions.

To tease the fact, Amell has posted via his official Facebook page a picture of his and Gustin's boots, while both are suited up and in costume. If that wasn't a clear indication of something pretty awesome coming up, this is turning out to be a promising team up yet.

The Flash begins its first season on October 7, while Arrow Season 3 debuts the following day on October 8, and both will air in The CW and on respective associated networks internationally!

Gotham: Pilot premieres and the "After Show" begins


Finally premiering on FOX and telling the tale of a city plagued with crime and corruption years before the emergence of The Dark Knight vigilante and hero known as Batman, Gotham is a brand new take on the origins of Detective James Gordon, Harvey Bullock, a young Bruce Wayne, Selina Kyle, and many others who will undoubtedly meet and cross paths with one another as the first season runs its course.

The Pilot aired this past Monday, and it's a strong start to what will certainly be an interesting crime-drama series that will plant the seeds for the rise of gang wars and the future supervillain community... As well as the beginnings of Gordon's dedication to clean up the streets and Bruce's eventual rise to conquer fear and become something... Legendary.

Following the premiere of the pilot, theStream.tv has posted up their first episode that reviews and explores each Gotham episode after it premieres, which is aptly titled the "Gotham After Show".

With just a few weeks left until it comes back into television, AMC has started down the bandwagon of promotions again by releasing some new TV Spots promoting the return of their popular zombie drama series, The Walking Dead!

ICYMI: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's TGS '14 new trailers and a Diamond Dog


The wait has been excruciating for most looking forward to the game, but it's undeniable that the work and attention to detail that Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions are putting on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is just mind-blowingly awesome. Showcasing some new trailers and gameplay previews in this year's Tokyo Game Show, Kojima and Konami teased some more new features fans can look forward to in the newest installment in the Metal Gear Solid series, which already has a confirmed release sometime in 2015.

The first new cinematic trailer shown gives a look more at one of the new characters making her debut in the series, the mute sniper known as Quiet.

Tokyo Game Show '14: Yoshinori Ono and Capcom announce "Ultra Street Fighter IV: Omega Mode" DLC


If you thought the latest upgrade to the Street Fighter IV series reached its pinnacle with the recently released "Ultra Street Fighter IV", then you have another thing coming your way courtesy of game producer Yoshinori Ono and Capcom!

Announced at this year's Tokyo Game Show and reported by Event Hubs, a new game mode called "Omega Mode" has been announced... And it DRASTICALLY ALTERS the way you play Ultra Street Fighter IV altogether. To explain what that means will take some time, but let's just say the properties and moves are significantly "different" than how one is usually accustomed to in the normal version of the game!

Good news people... DEADPOOL THE MOVIE IS COMING IN 2016!


PINEAPPLE SURPRISE~!!! After all the hype, buzz, and excitement the leaked test footage featuring Ryan Reynolds as The Merc with a Mouth had, 20th Century Fox has OFFICIALLY greenlit a DEADPOOL movie for February 2016! The news comes straight from Joblo.com, and Reynolds is finally going to portray the character he has been wanting to play again since X-Men Origins: Wolverine... But here's hoping it's like the comic book version instead... Like what was scene in the leaked test footage!

Batman v Superman and Star Wars: J.J Abrams and Bad Robot Productions make "HUNKA JUNK" video


In what is pretty much a hilarious display of shenanigans and tomfoolery, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder and Star Wars Episode VII director J.J Abrams have had some pretty solid spoofs and shots of the two different franchises finding themselves mixed together in some LOL moments. The latest now comes from Abrams and his company Bad Robot Productions, via a report from Comic Book.com that shows a video that shows of the Millennium Falcon and... Something else hidden in it.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Tapestry Poster is a HUGE EPIC ASSEMBLE


Making its way to theaters this coming December and wrapping up the prequel storyline that sets in motion the events of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Warner Bros., New Line Cinema, and Peter Jackson have released this stellar "Tapestry Poster" for the final installment of The Hobbit Trilogy: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The poster, via Newsarama, is pretty huge, and features pretty much all of the characters that have played a significant part in the story so far, and adapted from the book of the same name by J.R.R Tolkien.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies opens on December 17 in the US.

Bond 24: Production starts on December 6



Looks like those eagerly awaiting information on when exactly the next James Bond film will begin production finally get their answer, as Superherohype and My Entertainment World now report that shooting will begin in Pinewood Studios in the UK on December 6.

As expected, Daniel Craig will return as 007, with Ralph Fiennes,  Naomie Harris, and Ben Whishaw also reprising their roles from the 2012 Bond film Skyfall.

The yet untitled Bond 24 will arrive in theaters on November 6, 2015.

Tekken 7: Katsuhiro Harada unveils poster, details, and first location testing event on October 3-5 in Japan


The King of Iron Fist Tournament celebrates 20 years of existence in the video game world... And Tekken franchise director Katsuhiro Harada is ready to unveil to the world the first look of the latest installment in the series in action, as he and Bandai Namco Games announce that Tekken 7 will begin location tests for the game in Tokyo and Osaka from October 3-5!

As reported and detailed by Famitsu, the event will also feature special Bana Passport gift cards for the first 100 players to sign up and answer questionnaires given, as well well as special stickers that those who attend the location tests will receive. Event Hubs also reports that the game will make use of Online Matchmaking, which is a first in the series as well.

Announced a month ago and as the 7th canonical installment in the series, Tekken 7 will serve, according to Harada, as the conclusion to the long running Mishima Bloodline saga that involves series mainstays Heihachi, Kazuya, and Jin Kazama. The story will also answer what happened to Kazuya's mother Kazumi Mishima, and why Heihachi had to kill her and what the mystery surrounding the Devil Gene is all about.

No release date has been given for Tekken 7, but it uses the Unreal Engine 4 will come out for arcades first before hitting consoles.

Batman and Robin: Future's End #1 preview introduces a possible new Boy Wonder...


Looks like we have a new Boy Wonder added to the Bat-Family... Or a possible one in a possible future at least.


In the official preview to this September 17's Batman and Robin: Future's End #1 one-shot issue, Batman: Zero Year character Duke Thomas, who assisted a newly emerged Bruce Wayne as Batman during that storyline, has become the new kid on the block to assume the sidekick mantle worn by the likes of Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and the late Damian Wayne. In this possible future, he and Batman work together to fight crime, but in this story by Ray Fawkes and Dustin Nguyen, things may escalate to dangerous territory, as familiar enemies appear to challenge the Dark Knight and open old wounds of the past he must find closure to.

Flashback Friday: Spider-Man: 1981 TV Series turns 33 years!


Just in time for Flashback Friday and remembering an old superhero cartoon goodie, a certain show featuring our friendly neighborhood webslinger just turned 33 years old this day, and that's the 1981 Spider-Man Animated Series by Marvel!

As a kid, it was one of the first superhero shows I saw next to SuperFriends, and THE FIRST Spider-Man cartoon I was introduced to! Voiced by Ted Schwartz, Peter Parker/ Spider-Man had many adventures in the show that saw him clash with many of his greatest enemies - including the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman, and even Doctor Doom!

And then there's that classic intro sequence from the show... Ah memories!

Resident Evil: Revelations 2: First trailer and details arrive online


After teasing things and then Push-Start getting the scoop this past weekend, Capcom has finally released the first official details and trailer for their upcoming new spinoff title of their long running Resident Evil/ BioHazard series - Resident Evil: Revelations 2.


The game, which will star Claire Redfield and Barry Burton's daughter Moira, will be set in an abandoned island detention facility, where both ladies must work together in order to escape. According to the official Facebook page of the franchise, the game will be comprised of 4 episodes that will be released individually and weekly through digital download for $4.99 sometime in early 2015. A bundle of the digital game as a whole will also be offered for $24.99, while a retail edition will come out some time after with everything inside.


Also released to coincide with the detail announcements is the very first trailer for the game, showing the return of Claire and scenes that showcase her capture by mysterious forces and meeting up with fellow captive Moira Burton. The game puts the focus back to the series' "Survival Horror" roots, and is intended to focus more on suspense than action.

DC Comics reveals December 2014 Darwyn Cooke variant cover theme


Looks like DC Comics is going for another variant theme month come December, and this time all the focus will be on the art style and pencils of one of the most talented artists of recent comic history - Darwyn Cooke!

Yes, the man who drew the classic DC: The New Frontier and has great runs in The Spirit and Catwoman is bringing his art skills for December's line of variant covers for books in The New 52, which you can read the list of in Comic Vine. The cover to Justice League #37 is shown above, and Cooke recently did a variant for this month's issue #33 of the comic to honor Batman's 75th Anniversary this year!

Resident Evil: Revelations 2: Claire Redfield returns, along with Barry Burton's daughter, Moira


The cat has been let out of the bag, and what was rumored and speculated for a long time that a familiar protagonist would return has finally been confirmed - Claire Redfield, the sister of Chris Redfield and Leon S Kennedy's partner and fellow survivor from the Raccoon City incident, will be the main protagonist for the recently announced Resident Evil: Revelations 2!


Also, Ms. Redfield won't be alone, as she'll be joined by Moira Burton... The daughter of legendary S.T.A.R.S member and Chris and Jill Valentine's friend, Barry Burton! The news comes from an article in Push-Start.co.uk, where the November issue of Games Master has published details about the upcoming game, including the fact that the game is set inbetween RE5 and RE6, and in an island where Claire and Moira will have to face new enemies like the "Afflicted" - who are similar to zombies but very different as well. Arrow: "High Speed Chase" Trailer and Matt Nable cast as Ra's Al Ghul


Building up to its new season premiere next month, The CW has released a brand new trailer for their hit superhero TV series based on the DC Comics superhero Green Arrow, with a new "High Speed Chase" trailer promoting the third season of Arrow!

Also, Stephen Amell announced in his official Facebook page that Matt Nable of "Riddick" fame is going to play Ra's Al Ghul for the 3rd season of the show. While The Dark Knight Trilogy's own Liam Neeson expressed interest to play the part again, the network has moved forward and a new guy will take on the Demon's Head for the Arrowverse.

 Arrow will return with its third season on October 8 on The CW.

The Walking Dead: Season 5 "Hunt Or Be Hunted" poster released


With more than a month to go until it returns and picks up where things left off, AMC has released a brand new poster promoting their fifth season of their popular zombie drama TV Series, The Walking Dead.

The new one sheet, featured on AMC's official website for the show and on Coming Soon.net, once again features series' protagonist and hero Rick Grimes in the center (as played by Andrew Lincoln), holding his signature Colt Python handgun and preparing for the worst to survive and stay alive in the harsh world forever changed by the zombie apocalypse.

While Season 4 ended in quite the cliffhanger moment, the showrunners and creators of the show based on the popular comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman say that things will get interesting and intense once everything resumes come October. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Short Season 2 promo online


Slated to make it's second season premiere by the last week of this month, ABC Studios and Marvel Television have released this short but pretty curious teaser promo for their upcoming new episodes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe spin-off series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", which will see Agent Phil Coulson and his ragtag team of agents come back to try and sort out the mess created in the wake of the events of "Phase Two" of the MCU films.

Resident Evil: Revealtions 2 confirmed and REbirth trailer released


Expected and finally confirmed by Capcom themselves on their game's Facebook page, the next chapter of Resident Evil is a sequel to one of their spinoffs, as the video game publisher has officially announced Resident Evil: Revelations 2. While no details have been released other than it's coming in Early 2015 and for next-gen systems, a concept trailer was released to tease the public of it's arrival.
