Pretty much self explnatory... But a final blog post nevertheless for 2016!
2016 had its ups and downs, but it certainly had a LOT of events and adventures in my world of popculture, cosplay, and hobbydom! I got to meet a lot of new friends, see some AWESOME films, and experience some pretty great moments that truly make the difference when it comes to living life to the fullest. I know everyone has gone through some tough times and we've seen some of the worst this particular year has to offer, but let us look forward and pray for the best that 2017 can bring to all of us!
From debuting new Batman cosplays based on Batman v Superman and DC Rebirth to upgrading my Green Arrow/ Arrow cosplay to Season 5, and enjoying seeing my DC, Marvel, Spider-Man, Star Trek, and more fandoms evolve and grow, it's been a challenging yet fruitful year indeed. All the cons I've participated in from Nexcon to Toycon to APCC and beyond have proven that a a lot can evolve and change, and the best is indeed yet to come as we look forward to the future.
To everyone who follows my page, to my family and friends, and to everyone out there living and dreaming big, have a blessed HAPPY NEW YEAR! Be the best you can be and more blessings will come your way! :D

Billy Dee Williams is Two-Face in "The Lego Batman Movie"
HOLY COMEBACKS BATMAN! In what will certainly make fans of the Batman movies as well as Lando Calrissian of Star Wars fame happy, actor Billy Dee Williams has revealed that he will be voicing the villainous "Two-Face" in next year's "The Lego Batman Movie", as confirmed by director Chris McKay on his Twitter. Those who remember Tim Burton's epic 1989 Batman movie will know that Williams portrayed District Attorney Harvey Dent - the charming and steadfast lawyer who fought on the side of the law to protect Gotham City's streets from crime. Sadly the actor was replaced by Tommy Lee Jones in "Batman Forever" when director Joel Schumacher took over for Burton and continued his film universe. Now it appears that justice has been done, and Williams will get the opportunity to play Harvey's "bad side" and half-scarred visage when The Lego Batman movie hits theaters!

40 years of Rocky: "It ain't over til it's over"
It's the movie that tells the story of the underdog who fought his way to the top while keeping jimself grounded and true to himself - this day November 21st, 1976 saw the release of "Rocky" in cinemas - a film written and starring a then unknown "Sylvester Stallone" in the titular role of a poor yet kind man named Rocky Balboa who worked for a loan shark and fought low-level fights in clubs before making it big by being challenged and fighting boxing champion Apollo Creed in an exhibition match. The story also revolves around Rocky meeting people who would become important in his life - including his love interest and future wife Adrian and his trainer and mentor Mickey Goldmill.
To say the film is a literal Hollywood success story is nothing short of an understatement - Rocky went on to win three Oscar wrds - including Best Picture and Best Director in John G. Avildsen. The film would spawn six sequels and spin-offs, with Stallone becoming a big star and going on to getting other acclaimed roles in cinema history - including playing John Rambo in the Rambo action films. Rocky's legacy endures in that it taps into what the humble human spirit can do when faced with the odds, fighting with determination and going the distance to prove that you have what it takes to rise to the challenge and do your best. I could say more about the film, but it would be better to watch some nostalgic revisits and reviews, including a pretty awesome one done recently by Cinemassacre and AVGN man himself, James Rolfe!
"Gonna Fly Now" is definitely playing in fans' hearts now. Happy 40th Anniversary, Rocky!

Celebrating 15 years of "Justice League Animated"
This week marked a lot of celebrations and anniversaries for a lot of franchises and properties that have stood the test of time, but one series that certainly became the "Gold Standard" in the way modern day superhero shows set the bar is Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment's "Justice League" - which aired on November 17, 2001 and is set in the same DC Animated Universe that began with 1992's Batman: The Animated Series, continued with Superman: The Animated Series, and eventually expanded into this powerful team that united The Man of Steel and Dark Knight alongside the likes of Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern John Stewart, Hawkgirl, and Martian Manhunter J'onn J'onzz!
Running for two seasons and eventually evolving into the much expansive "Justice League Unlimited", this is the DCAU at its finest... And one year from now, we will be getting the DC Films' equivalent with the Justice League movie!
Happy 15th Anniversary, Justice League!

Happy 22 Years, Spider-Man: The Animated Series!
On this day 22 years ago, one of the most beloved comic book characters got a new lease in the animated series department as Fox Kids aired the very first episode of the 1994 Spider-Man: The Animated Series. That show focused on Peter Parker's college years, and introduced the flagship character and beloved webslinging hero to a new audience - complete with adventures facing the Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Hobgoblin, and Spidey's most notorious arch-villain at the time, Venom. To say that the show was a web of wonders in an understatement, and it had a shared animated Marvel TV Universe too crossing with other popular animated Marvel characters like Iron Man, the X-Men, and Fantastic Four.
If you remember the show, you'll remember the song.
Happy Anniversary, Spider-Man: TAS!
