All things RE in 2012 with Resident Evil 6 and Re5ident Evil: Retribution!

It seems Capcom is having a big 2012 with all things Resident Evil (also known as Bio Hazard in Japan). Not only do we get a trailer for the next movie starring Milla Jovovich as Alice, but also one for a NEW GAME slated for release at the end of this year, and it stars none other than the main male leads of the series, Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy! Thanks goes to Kotaku and Comic Book Movie for the news!

Debuting just a few hours ago as of this posting, Capcom has officially announced and released a trailer for their brand new installment in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 6!

"It has been ten years since the incident at Raccoon City and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place. Raccoon City survivor and personal friend of the President, Leon S. Kennedy, arrives to find the President transformed beyond recognition by a bioterrorist attack. Leon is forced to make the hardest decision he has ever made.

At the same, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance Member, Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack."

Here's the official trailer for the game!

Also coming next year is the latest installment in Paul W.S Anderson's line of Resident Evil films, which is strangely given the official title of "Re5ident Evil: Retribution". Once again starring Milla Jovovich as series' protagonist Alice, she returns to face new enemies alongside new allies in a world broken by the machinations of the Umbrella Corporation. Check out the teaser below, which also doubles as a Sony ad in a creative manner...

  2. Don't forget Revelations for the 3DS and Operation Raccoon City, the first time a Western vision was allowed to touch the franchise :D Perhaps Capcom is marketing the end of the world this year?
