Marvel and Sony announce Iron Man: Rise of Technovore
Marvel Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment have announced that Iron Man will be returning to anime form, in a new animated movie called "Iron Man: Rise of Technovore"! With animation by Madhouse and directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki, the new feature-length film will see Tony Stark and his alter ego take on Ezekiel Stane, son of his old archnemesis Obadiah Stane, aka the Iron Monger. With Ezekiel unleashing terrorist attacks set across the globe and Tony being framed for it, Tony must evade S.H.I.E.L.D personel and do whatever it takes to clear his name and stop Stane and his new bio-technology.
With the story of the film by Brian Auman, "Rise of Technovore" looks to be a loose adaptation of "The Five Nightmares" storyline from the 2008 Invincible Iron Man series penned by Matt Fraction and drawn by Salvador Larocca, where the character of Ezekiel Stane first appeared. The animated film is set for a Spring 2013 release, with other heroes like War Machine, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nick Fury, and The Punisher appearing in it as well! Stay tuned for more related announcements during this year's New York Comic-Con, and for more info and details visit the source post at Marvel.com.
