The CW will give "Arrow" guest hero "The Flash" his own TV Pilot
In a few weeks, a certain Scarlet Speedster DC Comics hero will grace the small screen in The CW's popular superhero TV show "Arrow", as Glee's Grant Gustin debuts as Barry Allen/ The Flash on episodes 8 & 9 of the currently ongoing 2nd Season. However, that's not all the good news there is to it, as a new announcement literally seals the deal that the new guy to lace up the boots of the Fastest Man Alive for television will be getting his very own Pilot!
In a report by Deadline and also showing up in Superherohype and Newsarama, Gustin will still be appearing and debuting as Barry Allen and his alter ego, but his origin story will now be told in his own TV Show pilot, instead of dedicating an episode based on the superhero Green Arrow as a backdoor pilot. This decision came about when positive reception came from within the studio for the two-part Flash centered story arc, and Arrow creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg will return to write alongside DC Comics' own Geoff Johns, with Arrow pilot director Dave Nutter helming "The Flash" pilot as well.
