Catwoman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Special was supposed to be released today
Today, April 15th, 2020, would have been the release of the "Catwoman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Special" issue - a commemorative deluxe one-shot comic that would have celebrated the eight decades that Selina Kyle and her femme fatale alter ego has appeared in the pages of DC Comics since her debut in Batman #1 in Spring 1940. As the years have shown, Selina has grown into a complex and unpredictable fan-favorite character, starting off as a Cat-themed villainess before evolving into an anti-hero and of course the on-and-off romantic interest of Bruce Wayne/ Batman. That relationship was taken further in the early 2000's with Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee's epic "Batman: Hush" storyline, and the revisited in Tom King's run which almost resulted in the official union of "Bat Cat".
With the trying times and suspension of new comic book releases until further notice, let's commemorate Catwoman's 80th Anniversary by honoring her legacy - like with this collection of graphic novels, books, and figures I have amassed in the years I have been a collector and fan of Batman, his world, and the rest of the DC Universe. Looking forward to getting that Super Special eventually when things get better for all of us.
Happy 80th Anniversary, Catwoman!
