Two years after DC FanDome and giving the world its first look at Robert Pattinson as vengeance with the very first teaser trailer of “The Batman”, director Matt Reeves has officially penned a new “first look” deal with Warner Bros. for TV and film projects as reported by The Hollywood Reporter - meaning that development on The Batman sequel is moving forward as well as the “Penguin” series spin-off that sees Colin Farell back as Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot.
The new deal comes after the success of the new Batman film - which was released last March and is a separate universe that is not connected to the DC Extended Universe. It also comes after the Warner Bros. and Discovery merger, with Warner Bros. discovery CEO David Zaslev shelving a lot of unreleased projects like “Batgirl” and pledging a new “10-year plan” for DC Films that seeks to restructure their movies and make them better.
