ICYMI: Watch Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars

Before he won the "Best Actor" award for his performance in "King Richard", some trouble happened at the 94th annual Academy Awards during the "Best Documentary" segment.

Presented by Chris Rock, the comedian started cracking jokes at the celebrities in attendance - with Rock targeting Jada Pinkettt-Smith with a "G.I.Jane 2" joke. Just after that comment, Will stood up and proceeded to go on stage - and hit a slap that was heard and seen the world all over. You can check it out below if you missed it.

That was the Oscars 2022 moment in a nutshell, and later Smith apologized for his actions to the attendees and fellow nominees when he won his "Best Actor" award and gave his acceptance speech.

Oscars 2019 Recap: Celebrating some noteworthy winners from 2018's best movies!

And just like that - the 91st annual Academy Awards have wrapped up and LOTS of entries that were nominated to win certain categories nabbed their respective prizes - including of course "Black Panther", "Bohemian Rhapsody", and the fan favorite animated film "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse"! While you can check the full list of winners either at The Academy's Facebook page or even Wikipedia, the three films mentioned above won stellar awards. Let's start with 2018's first Marvel Cinematic Universe entry and THE FIRST MARVEL STUDIOS FILM to earn Oscars gold!

While not winning the highly coveted "Best Picture" category (that went to "Green Book"), "Black Panther" still won THREE CATEGORIES in the Academy Awards - particularly for "Best Costume Design", "Best Production Design", and "Best Original Score"!

Meanwhile Rami Malek, who portrayed the legendary Freddie Mercury in the music biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody" - took home the "Best Actor" award for his over-the-top performance! Exceptional! The film also won the most awards - including "Best Sound Editing", "Best Sound Mixing", and "Best Film Editing"!

And of course, what is arguably a personal favorite as well as many others, is Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse winning "Best Animated Feature Film"! That couldn't have gone to any other animated movie than this - the PERFECT love letter to Spider-Man and his amazing fanbase! The late Stan Lee and Steve Ditko would be proud.

And speaking of Stan, he was among those remembered by The Academy in the annual "In Memoriam" tribute.

"Logan" nominated for "Best Adapted Screenplay" for 2018 Academy Awards

In what certainly is a WELL DESERVED nomination for what is arguably one of the best films of 2017 - 20th Century Fox and James Mangold's "Logan" has been nominated for "Best Adapted Screenplay" by The Academy for the 2018 Oscars - making it the first comic book movie in history to earn that distinction. That's quite the honor, and while it has big competition going for it against other films like "Get Out" and "The Shape of Water", this is an honor already for Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine film - which pays homage to the actor and his 17 year career as the feral X-Men character in the big screen.

Argo wins Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Film Editing at the 85th Academy Awards!

Argo truly was one of my favorite films of last year, and as a sleeper hit for Warner Bros, it deserves every bit of praise and adoration it gets. The Ben Affleck directed film not only had a great story, but a solid cast and tense screenplay that literally kept viewers at the edge of their seat. It's great to note that with the results of the 85th Annual Academy Awards now out in the open, Warner Bros, Ben Affleck, and the Argo team have taken home Best Film Editing, Best Screenplay, and the coveted Best Picture Award.

In celebration of Argo's victory, here's an Extended Movie Featurette features on YouTube on how this awesome flick was made:

Argo - EXTENDED MOVIE FEATURETTE HD (2013)

Truly well-deserving and solid win for this flick that I enjoyed and reviewed back when it was released in theaters last October. Congratulations Ben Affleck and the store of a fake film being made during a real life rescue mission.

ARGO ----- YOURSELVES~!XD
