One of the legendary artists in the local and international comic industry passed away, and his contributions to the medium will never be forgotten.
Tony DeZuniga, best known to comic fans as the creator of DC Comics character Jonah Hex, died today. Known affectionately as "Mang Tony" to most Filipino artists, he was known as the first Filipino artist to get his worked accepted by an American publisher, paving the way for many more Pinoy artists such as Gerry Alanguilan, Carlo Pangulayan, and Leinil Yu to pursue their dreams and work in international comic publications as well. He truly is a legend, both in the Philippine and International Comic Book Industry, and his works will always be remembered by people worldwide. For more on the story, read up related posts via Flipgeeks and Geekmatic.
R.I.P Mang Tony, and thank you for giving us your talents and love to comics.

Nicholas Cage talks about Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
Now riding in theaters to mixed reviews that will surely put fans on the fence, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance brings veteran actor Nicholas Cage back in the role he first starred in 2007, albeit a lot more darker and sinister than before. I've seen the film and reviewed it (featured in Geekmatic as well), and my opinion will be something that leaves a lot to be desired for the most part if you haven't seen the film yet. Still, there may be hope yet if you're a Nic Cage fan. Via a video interview with Total Film, he gives his take on the character, describing the Ghost Rider as a "philosophical hero" and letting on his background that he is a bog comic book fan himself.

Spider-Man Reboot Update: First pic of Andrew Garfield in costume!
This has been posted almost everywhere, but what the heck, here it is... The first shot of Andrew Garfield dressed up as Spider-Man!
Of course, this is just the promotional shot featuring Garfield in costume. It's an obvious and total redesign; leaner, slimmer, and gives off the hint that he'll be sporting traditional webshooters instead of the organic ones used by Tobey Maguire in the Sam Raimi films. Marc Webb has got everyone curious so far, so we'll just have to wait and see how all this turns out. For more info, visit i09 and GeekMatic!
