Green Lantern John Stewart fan-film "Power" teaser looks LEGIT

If there's anything that hasn't been revealed thus far with all the DC Cinematic Universe hitting the interwebz, it's "who exactly" will be the next Green Lantern that will appear in the new film that'll arrive in 2020. Many are hoping it's one of the other Green Lanterns besides Hal Jordan, and fingers are being crossed that it will be the African-American Emerald Warrior seen in the DC Animated Universe's Justice League and Justice League Unlimited shows -John Stewart.

John Stewart Green Lantern Teaser Trailer
Well, P3Series is apparently hard at work at a Fan Film that features Johnny Boy himself... In a fan film called "POWER" and a story that has John as Public Enemy No. 1 and forces led by President Lex Luthor after him. Comic Book.com also featured this one, and it looks pretty LEGIT.

Wreck-It Ralph: Awesome 60 second live action short film

Wreck-It Ralph has got to be one of my favorite Disney films in recent memory, and it's an admirable achievement for those behind the House of Mouse for combining an endearing story within a video game universe setting. Seeing tributes, nods, and cameo appearances of your favorite characters from such memorable gaming series as Pac-Man, Street Fighter, and Sonic The Hedgehog just hit the spot right on, and relating to the main character Ralph and his quest to become a true "Hero" just proves that even a bad guy has a big heart of gold when he tries to do what's right and important in life.

That being said, this awesome short film recreates the entire Wreck-It Ralph story... In a mere 60 seconds only!

The Dark Knight Rises: Arkham Rising Fan Film

A unique fan film has surfaced online that shows an angle that would have likely taken place during the events of Christopher Nolan's epic final Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. Called "Arkham Rising", this short movie takes place shortly after Batman's defeat at the hands of Bane, and what takes place during the masked man's takeover of Gotham. Check it out belo, and for more info visit the source post at io9 and and the official Arkham Rising website.

SDCC '12: "Dirty Laundry" fan film sees Thomas Jane return as The Punisher!

As the last leg of news from the San Diego Comic-Con finally settled in, so did a surprise fan film presented by none other than Thomas Jane, who portrayed Frank Castle in the 2004 film adaptation of The Punisher. That film was great, and while Jane didn't reprise the role for 2010's Punisher: War Zone, he did so in this short little fan film which debuted in SDCC 2012! Take a look at "Dirty Laundry"!

"Dirty Laundry" Fan Film

Yup, Jane's back as Frank here, with fellow actor Ron Perlman joining him! Good to see him back as The Punisher, and I hope he gets another shot playing the role!

Street Fighter X Tekken fan films pay tribute to awesome!

Having been out for almost a week and enjoyed by fighting game buffs worldwide, Street Fighter X Tekken is nothing short of awesome. Yes, it weighs more on the Street Fighter IV side in terms of gameplay since it's a Capcom developed game, but we'll be getting Namco Bandai's version of the crossover eventually. Right now, the game is doing wonders by delivering some serious competition and fun for brawlers, and I'm enjoying every minute of it. Suffice to say, there are creative peeps out there who have been inspired to create fan films as tribute for this dream match pairing between two franchises. Here's a couple that I found that are too great to describe and absolute need to be viewed!

STREET FIGHTER (SFxTK) Vega VS Jun

Directed by Mike Diva, this awesome fan video shows a fight to the death between Tekken's Jun Kazama and Street Fighter's Vega! It's quite literally one of the best fighting game inspired fan videos I've seen to date, and the music by Diva's brother DAT BEAT hits the mark nicely!

Street Fighter x Tekken: The Devil Within - Short Film

Another instant classic fan video by a team that has composed some of the best fight choreographed fan videos out there, Thousand Pounds delivers their own take of the Street Fighter X Tekken saga by pitting Ryu against Kazuya! The Satsui No Hadou faces off The Devil Gene, in this 9 minute plus short film that's aptly titled "The Devil Within"!

Fan Made Awesomeness: Left 4 Dead Fan Film Teaser

Airsoft GI - Left 4 Dead Fan Film Teaser

Yes, that's Zoey, Luis, and Francis you see in the trailer, and not to spoil anything about the plot of L4D or its sequel Left 4 Dead 2, fans will know where this picks up from. A full movie is on the way soon, so be sure to check out Airsoft GI's official You Tube page time and again for updates!

Fan made awesomeness: Silent Hill: Stolen Heart!

While browsing around the interwebz, I stumbled upon this on a post in Kotaku - a fan made Silent Hill film that actually looks good as it is creepy! Entitled "Silent Hill: Stolen Heart", the 5 minute feature was directed by Paul Leeming, and was filmed in an abandoned mining town that actually looks like Silent Hill itself given the proper effects and fog! Do check out this wonderful treat for fans by fans, which was released just a few weeks ago!

Silent Hill: Stolen Heart

As a big fan of the original Team Silent Silent Hill games, this pays great tribute to the source material and Konami's survival horror franchise! For more info and details, visit the source post at Kotaku, and visit the creator Paul Leeming's official Facebook page, Visceral Psyche Films!

Seeds of Arkham by Batinthesun

Pretty intense and solid fan film. It ends in a cliffhanger, but Bat in the Sun is looking to make a continuation to their story here, and you could help via donations! Check out details on that plus more via the source post at Comic Book Movie. Also, follow Bat in the Sun via Daily Motion and Twitter!

Casey Jones: The Movie can now be watched online free!

Remember that Casey Jones fan movie that was featured and shown a while back? Well, it's finally made it's way online for audiences to check out for free, as reported by Comic Book Movie! The official website has it up now, so go and visit it to check out some glorious "Goongola, Goongola!" moments by the infamous vigalante with a hockey mask and buddy of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

If you still need convincing, here's that kick-ass teaser trailer again to show why it's a pretty awesome project by fans who pretty much know what they're doing with the character.

Casey Jones Fan Film Trailer

Fan made Casey Jones film exists and looks awesome!

Thanks to Facebook, YouTube, and Comic Book Movie, I have learned that one of the most awesome and non-mutant characters of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' franchise is getting his own film... Fan made of course, but it's still a big deal! Casey Jones, the hockey mask wearing buddy and friend of the turtles, is getting the spotlight treatment courtesy of filmmakers Hilarion Banks and Polaris Banks, with the former playing as Casey himself! Here's the trailer to this live action fan spectacle, and it's a mighty impressive endeavor I must say!

Casey Jones Fan Film Trailer

As a TMNT fan from way back, I'm very impressed with what I see here. It's kinda like a cross between Rocky and Batman Begins, but with the atmosphere reminiscent of the Turtles' live action films, only much darker (heck, there's even a cameo appearance by one of the heroes in a half shell here!). No dialogue is uttered in the trailer whatsoever, but the music and scenes tell you more than enough it's going to be a realistic take and kickass origin story of the "Goongola, Goongola!" crimefighter and vigilante! It's too bad I won't be able to see it  for myself when it premieres on August 14 on Austin TX, but fortunately the fan film will premiere online after that! Check out more details via Comic Book Movie, the official site, or Facebook event page!

The Confined does awesome Silent Hill goodness!

After navigating through my usual web searches, I found this awesome little Silent Hill tribute made by fans of the dreaded survival horror franchise created by Konami! Called "The Confined". With the terrifying creatures created by Nathan A. Quattrini and featured in Kotaku, the three minute clip is something truly worth beholding for fans of the cursed and haunted town that's plagued 7 games and a live action film so far, with an 8th installment and second flick already in the works to scare more people out of their wits with their own worst fears manifesting themselves into dark caricatures that'll eat them alive! Check this 3 minute clip of this wonderful fan film below, directed by Leo Kei Angelos (who also did a fan film for Dragon Age), with the full thing slated for a release this fall!

"The Rat" - A short Batman fan film worth checking...

Now that we know who Tom Hardy is playing and which hollywood actress will be playing Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises, everyone around the world is talking and speculating over what director Christopher Nolan will reveal next as the new Batman movie sequel inches closer and closer to its shooting date. However, other fans have taken the initiative to imagine their own version of the plot that is obviously nonexistent, but curiously interesting nevertheless. Take this project by Dale Fabriger, a director who made a short fan film called "The Rat" that pits Bats with a new type of foe, with two cops reflecting on the incident at question. As featured in io9, here is the short in all its viewing goodness.

"The Rat" - A Batman Fan Film

Pretty good stuff here, and it feels awfully like something based on the Nolanverse. Props go to Mr. Fabriger for the project!

Megaman Live Action Awesome!

Ever since I picked up a controller and began my life as an avid videogame player, there wasn't a moment in my gaming history that I haven't encountered Megaman, Capcom's eponymous mascot who stars in his own series of games bearing his name and beyond. The blue bomber has been a shining beacon in the industry of side scrolling action, crossing multiple platforms and releasing classic worthy titles that still continue to stimulate the minds and imaginations of fans everywhere. One individual named Eddie Lebron went the extra mile and decided to produce his own project that pays homage to the little blue hero - a fan made trailer that eventually became a sensational project and is expecting its own film very very soon!

Eddie Lebron's Megaman - Trailer

I don't know why I wasn't aware of this before, but after seeing the posters and trailer courtesy of Destructoid and You Tube, I'm already hooked and can't wait to see the full length live action fan made film! Check out the main site here for more information and word from Mr. Lebron himself. The film is coming sooner than you think, so prepare and get equipped for some awesomeness!
