Back from Hiatus... HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

It's been a while everyone... I went on a mini hiatus again and it was a much needed break from blogging and sharing updates (which I still do in my Facebook page Timzster). As the times move onward things change, and for this blog there may be times I won't be able to write or share stuff - but that doesn't mean there won't be any activity! So do follow me in my social media channels on Facebook and Twitter!

Also since it's an annual tradition, here's a highlight poster/ collage of almost ALL THE THINGS I've done in 2018. Made this past New Year’s Eve, I made this to celebrate and honor the many things I’ve had in cosplay, conventions, and life. I’m not going break that and just before we say goodbye to 2018, here’s a MEGA POSTER to celebrate all the adventures I’ve had with family and friends alike! From Batman to Spider-Man, Metal Gear Solid and Star Wars, Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2, and going toAsiaPOP Comicon Manila and my first international con in New York Comic Con - SO MUCH to be thankful for despite the ups and downs that have happened. Merry Christmas 2017~!!!

It's that time of the year again where we celebrate the good times and spend the holidays with loved ones all around! If you're wondering why the year went by so fast - we still have a few days left before we properly welcome 2018! So whether you enjoyed "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" this month, had mixed feelings about "Justice League", or absolutely cried manly tears over Hugh Jackman's final performance as Wolverine early this year in "Logan", there's plenty to talk about with friends and family who enjoy these things. There's also the new stuff like Avengers: Infinity War and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition - so much to be excited about and we can absolutely treat ourselves to in the next few months.

Whether you collect stuff, watch movies, play games, or simply love reading about pop culture - here's wishing all of you a Merry Merry Christmas!!! Happy Holidays and hope you all got lovely presents! Let's all be festive this holiday season!

Welcome to 2013!

It's a new year, and there's going to be a lot of things to look forward to. 2012 was full of surprises indeed, and this year holds a lot of promises and opportunities. Hopefully we'll be riding some great stuff along the way as well as some changes. That being said, this site is long overdue for an upgrade, and maybe getting to that will be a work in progress somewhere down the road. For the meantime, here's a toast for big things to come for everyone this year!

Two Years of Popculturing, Thor 2 release date, and a new Cap poster!

Today is July 1st, and besides Transformers: Dark of the Moon opening in cinemas this week, it marks the celebration of two years running this blog and reporting news on the popculture spectrum. I wouldn't have imagined myself to keep it maintained and going, but here we are now. I'll be commemorating the occasion with something special soon, so sit on tight and keep refreshing those browsers.;) For now, it's back to the updates!

Marvel.com has released this slick new international poster for Captain America: The First Avenger! It's a cool one sheet with the entire cast of the movie lined up with a maskless Chris Evans/ Captain America in the front, while a huge head of Hugo Weaving's Red Skull looks over with mean eyes over the background. Movie blog and news site Screen Rant reports that "Thor 2" has been given a official release date, and it will appear under the Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Entertainment banner come July 26, 2013! Yes, the God of Thunder will be joining his fellow Avenger Iron Man the following year after "Avengers" hits theaters on May 4, 2012, so since Ol' Shellhead's next sequel, "Iron Man 3", is slated for a May 3, 2013 release date, Thor 2 shows nearly three months after that! Unfortunately, Kenneth Branagh won't be returning to direct the film, so the only question now is who can follow in his footsteps? For more info, visit the source post at Screen Rant.

A New Look and One Year...

Howdy Guys,

A year ago, I started this blog for the very simple reason of writing my interests surrounding the hobby world. I never expected to keep up to date with my entries, and honestly, I kept this blog as a means of filtering out my

Yet here we are now.

Today, Pop Culture Crusader turns a year old, and what comes with that is 12 months worth of blood, sweat, and tears shed over the numerous posts I've made on everything and anything popculture. I don't have any formal speeches or mushy stuff to convey at this point, but rest assured, this blog will keep on going, and continue to serve up some warm and handy info and links on the nice things we like to watch, enjoy, and play around with for entertainment. To commemorate this occasion, I have tweaked and redesigned the sight a little, just to give a fresh new look. It can still be reached at the same url, so no need to update those bookmarks and links. However, this is far from the finalized look, and changes may come over time.

Speaking of changes, the entries may be less frequent than usual, meaning this 24/7 routine will probably cease at this point (again, PROBABLY). If and when there's news or something interesting to post, I won't hesitate. However, I think the time has come to cool my engines and keep things in moderation. Right now, I'd like to take time to relax and contemplate on how far along things have come since then... and look forward to the future.
