Edge of Spider-Verse miniseries shows "What IF Gwen Stacy was Spider-Woman"?

Spider-Verse, Marvel's upcoming and epic Spider-Man event, comes in November... And The House of Ideas teases a lot of potential things to come... Starting with the reveal of the tie-in "Edge of Spider-Verse" miniseries... Which not only focuses on the alternate versions of Peter Parker we know or have yet to know... But as well as a Spider-Woman who is... Gwen Stacy?!

That's right, issue #2 of the solicitations for the five issue miniseries starting in September shows Peter's first love BECOME the hero instead, having been instead bitten by the same radioactive spider that would have given Parker his Amazing abilities, and this all happens in another alternate world. Spider-Verse will crossover to many multiple universes in Marvel, so this isn't something shocking... But more Spectacular!

DC Comics: Superman: Unchained and Nightwing for The New 52 ends this April

What started out as a new a prospect title during Superman's 75th Anniversary last year will finally bite the bullet and call it quits, as DC Comics' official solicitations for April 2014 have pretty much confirmed that the Scott Snyder and Jim Lee series will be drawing to a close...

But the other big news is that Nightwing is actually ending. Following the news of mainstay series writer Kyle Higgins' departure, the comic that stars Dick Grayson will apparently see its end and be written by James Tynion IV... And is it because of whatever turns out in the aftermath of Forever Evil? We'll only have to wait and see how things turn out once everything is said and done.

Green Lantern: Geoff Johns, Peter J. Tomasi, and co. leave the GL Books come May

Come May 2013, the entire bookline of Green Lantern will see the end of not only the "Wrath of the First Lantern" arc, but also the departure of each and every creative member that's been a staple and figurehead for the series for years! Big name writers like Geoff Johns and Peter J. Tomasi will take their leaves from Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps respectively, while Tony Bedard and Peter Milligan leave Green Lantern New Guardians and Red Lanterns. Artist Fernando Pasarin also leaves GL Corps, and suddenly the entire emotional spectrum is left null and void for new creative talent to take a stab at.

Thanks to Bleeding Cool's post and DC Comics' May 2013 solicitations, we truly see the end of an era with Green Lantern. Geoff Johns - arguably the man responsible for reigniting interest in the Green Lantern mythos and beyond, is finally putting his swan song on the map with Green Lantern #20. It's really a tearful goodbye to a book that has been one of DC's strongest points prior to and during the New 52 era, and it's gonna be hard to see a GL book the same way again after he leaves. Readers know that he's still a figurehead on Justice League and Aquaman, but Geoff's contributions to Green Lantern and the big crossover stories of the past few years like Blackest Night have been nothing short of spectacular and amazing. The same can be said of Peter J. Tomasi, who held his own with Green Lantern Corps, and is doing an amazing job at Batman and Robin. To them and the rest of the creative team leaving, here's a tip off the hat to you guys. May the next generation of writers and artists of Green Lantern and its family of books do the same amazing job you guys did!

Coming off their solicitations for the month of April, Detective Comics #19 is slated to be written by John Layman, with art by John Fabok and backup story art by Andy Clarke. The issue goes on sale by April 3, and is going to be priced at $7.99!
