Gotham: Fox sets Batman prequel show to series, and releases the official trailer!

It's finally official from Fox and Warner Bros. Television - the pre-Batman inspired TV Series "GOTHAM" has been given the greenlight and will be getting a full length series!

Set in the days before Gotham's Guardian ever surfaces, the show focuses on a younger James Gordon, as his story and that of the origins of the criminals that would be the city's infamous supervillains are told for the first time in this manner. It also chronicles the turbulent life of a newly orphaned Bruce Wayne, who's destiny is only beginning after the death of his parents and which will lead him to train his mind, body, and soul to fulfill a promise and eventually become something the city sorely needs.

Starring Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, as well as the likes of Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Zabryna Guevara, Erin Richards, and Jada Pinkett Smith, no release date has been given yet for Gotham's release, Be sure to check the show's official Twitter page and Superherohype for more details.

Constantine TV Series: First look at Matt Ryan as "John Constantine" revealed!

Being developed and filmed currently as one of many new TV shows based on characters from the DC Universe, NBC has officially released the first image of actor Matt Ryan as DC/ Vertigo's occult detective John Constantine in the upcoming "Constantine" TV Series! Unlike the 2005 depiction of Keanu Reeves in the big screen, Ryan's take looks very much faithful to the source material, and will certainly delight fans of "Hellblazer" as he looks true to form and just needs a cigarette to complete the look!

For more information, visit the source post at Superherohype!

No release date for "Constantine" has been given, but expect it to arrive sometime during the 2014-2015 TV season, much like The Flash and Gotham!

The CW reveals Grant Gustin's first pic as "The Flash"!

After getting his introduction as Barry Allen and appearing in the two-part storyline episodes "The Scientist" and "Three Ghosts" for the currently ongoing second season of Arrow, The CW has released the very first image of Grant Gustin as his new alter ego, the DC Comics superhero and Fastest Man Alive himself, The Flash!

Set to begin production next week, Warner Bros. Television has released the very first photo of Gustin in costume, wearing the familiar Scarlet Speedster cowl but with a newly designed ear piece that holds a resemblance to the iconic Flash lightning logo! The costume was designed by Colleen Altwood, who's also responsible for designing Stephen Amell's costume as "Arrow" in his own series! Now that the network's gearing up for this second "DC Superhero TV Series", it looks like the DC Television Universe is surely expanding fast and well! For more information, visit the source post at Comic Book Resources!

Expect "The Flash" to run into television sets soon with his own new TV series for 2014-2015!

Gotham TV Series: Ben McKenzie is your new James Gordon

Looks like things are progressing smoothly for FOX and Warner Bros. Television's attempt to showcase characters from the Batman Universe in the small screen, as both companies have finally chosen their actor to play a younger James Gordon in "Gotham"... "The O.C." and "Southland's" Ben McKenzie!

An origin TV Series set years before The Batman came into the picture, "Gotham" explores the origins of James Gordon, the villains/ supercriminals, and a young Bruce Wayne before they all made their mark and changed the city as we now know it to be. It's certainly cranking up the interest rate for the show, and McKenzie took to Twitter to express his thoughts on his casting:

So here's to "Gotham", and hoping it'll be just as awesome as the current DC Comics' inspired superhero TV Series making its mark right now in The CW with its second season, Arrow! For more information, visit the source post at Superherohype.

Funny fact: Bruce Wayne/ Batman in Batman: Year One was voiced by McKenzie as well, while Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad fame voiced Gordon... Talk about switcheroo!!!

No release date has been given for Gotham yet, but expect it sometime later this year!

Almost Human: J.J. Abrams puts Karl Urban in a human & robot buddy cop TV Series

You know him as Karl Urban - aka Eomer from The Lord Of The Rings films, Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy from J.J Abrams' Star Trek films, and Judge Dredd himself from the 2012 reboot flick "Dredd". The man has proven to be tough as nails as an action hero, and can be a pretty convincing Bones in the Trek films with his perfect demeanor and attitude ala the late DeForrest Kelley.

Now imagine Karl Urban reteaming with his Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness director, this time in the small screen for an upcoming 2013-2014 series on FOX TV developed by J.H. Wyman and J.J. Abrams - Almost Human.

The trailer alone should clue you on how this is going to turn out.
