The Return Of Bruce Wayne Covers...

Can't wait for the original Batman's return? Well, neither can the rest of the other bat fans. Still coming this April, Batman: The Return Of Bruce Wayne feels like a long time to wait for a comeback, but DC has slowly released bits and teases of how Bruce's return will look like in print, and they have finally revealed the first two covers of the mini.

This cover to the first issue was shown not long ago, and it has our billionaire playboy stuck in the past and dealing with prehistoric cavemen who are thirsty for his large bat hide. That's already a given, but how about the second issue? What does time and fate have in store for dear old Bruce? Check it out below:

Looks like Bats is going be the target of witchcraft and mobs. Can't wait to see how Bruce Wayne returns to the original DCU this April.

Sega Reveals Sonic The Hedgehog 4, Episode 1!

The secret is no longer a secret anymore! Gamespot, Kotaku, and the rest of the videogame network have reported the big reveal Sega has just announced - The mysterious "Project Needle Mouse" is indeed a new Sonic The Hedgehog, but it's officially "Sonic The Hedgehog 4, Episode 1"!

Sonic The Hedgehog 4, Episode 1 Trailer!

Why Episode 1? Obviously, it will be the first chapter of a bigger story, taking cues from the Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles days where the latter was essentially a continuation of the other. The game will be a 2.5D downloadable game, meaning that it's 2D gameplay with 3D Graphics, and it's going to be available this summer for the Playstation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and WiiWare. More details are revealed via Gamespot and Kotaku's report, but it's good to say our favorite blue Hedgehog is back... IN AWESOME OLD SCHOOL STYLE! Go Sonic!

The Anti-Batman Legacy...

Everyone's looking forward to Mark Millar's latest comic book sensation "Nemesis", and I am too for the most part. Collaborating with his longtime partner in comics Steve McNiven, this Marvel miniseries presents a story that begs the question - "what if Bruce Wayne was The Joker"? Basically, you have the biggest, baddest costumed individual of them all... and he's trying to make the lives of the police a living hell. This has gotta be one of the most intriguing stories coming up yet. But then again, this isn't the first time an "Anti-Batman" was made, and from the way the plot sounds, it's very much reminiscent of an old Bat-rogue's M.O and style, and The Dark Knight confronted his complete opposite many times before.

The character who is arguably the "direct opposite" of Batman is The Wrath, a vigilante who harbors a deep grudge for anyone siding with the law and justice. Like Bruce Wayne, he lost his parents at a young age, but they were burglars shot down by a police officer, who mistook them for finishing off a robbery when in fact they were simply skipping the rent. Filled with anger and looking for direction, he traveled the globe and honed his skills like Bruce did, and after learning all that he could, he set out on a one man crusade against those who called themselves agents of the law. Like Batman, he took up a costume, which was nearly identical to the Caped Crusader. He even had gadgets, vehicles, and a utility belt at his disposal. However, the one thing that he did that Batman would never do was adopt the use of firearms, which sealed his nature as The Dark Knight's complete opposite. Eventually, this maroon colored fiend was apprehended by Bats, after a failed attempt at assassinating Commissioner Gordon. Despite that, he even learned Batman's secret identity, and pursued to torture his loved ones. However, his final confrontation with Batman led to his demise, after The Wrath falls for one of his own traps and falls from the rooftop to the streets of Park Row.

However, that would not be the end of the Wrath's legacy. A successor rose up to take up the mantle, and his name was Elliot Caldwell. In a story depicted in Batman: Confidential, this Wrath reveals a dark secret that ties Commissioner Gordon to a crime many years ago on the same day Bruce's parents died - the gunning down of the original Wrath's parents. Gordon was shipped to Chicago to protect his mistake, while the newly orphaned boy was sent to an orphanage and never adopted, thus fueling the rage and passion inside him to eliminate any law enforcing agent. The new Wrath would also reveal that he was trained by the original to be his "Robin", inspired by Batman's admission of a sidekick to his crusade. After his mentor died, Elliot took up the mantle and attacked Batman and Nightwing (the former original Robin), but was defeated and sent to Blackgate Prison in the end.

Looking back at this, the comparisons between Nemesis and Wrath are strikingly similar, but I don't think Millar will tell things in the same manner once his new book gets rolling. Looking forward to the new "Anti-Batman" book soon!

Final Fight Fanmade Movie Trailer!

Anyone familiar with Metro City? That's the fictional town where Capcom's signature beat'em up brawler Final Fight takes place, and anyone who played this during the Arcade and SNES days remembers how awesome the game was. It was initially supposed to be a sequel to Street Fighter, but Capcom decided against it and made the game its own unique item, introducing us to stalwart heroes Mike Haggar, Cody Travers, and Guy, as they took on the forces of Mad Gear gang to clean the city and rescue Haggar's kidnapped daughter, Jessica. The game's success saw Capcom making sequels, and in a twist of fate, the company even decided to port the characters featured there into the Street Fighter universe, with Guy and Sodom leading the charge and introducing themselves in Street Fighter Alpha/ Zero. Yes, Final Fight made history and remains among the top classic brawlers many gamers adored... so why hasn't a feature film been made about these guys yet? Taking note of this, a couple of fans went on ahead and designed a trailer that is not only kick ass, but was noticed by the guys from Capcom themselves, even featuring it on their main blog site! Check it out and witness what could be inspiration for an actual live action movie!

Yeah, it's awesome, huh? And it seems that the guy playing Damnd drew a little "TDK Joker" inspiration to his role. Gotta love dedication!

The Final Fate Of The Lich King...

*SPOILER WARNING*

Since playing and experiencing Warcraft III all those years ago, I've been ever been enthralled by its deep lore, races, and content, which continues to expand and linger on in the MMORPG game World Of Warcraft. Truth be told, I hardly touched that game, and only seem to follow up on updates and storylines through dedicated wikis or tales whispered by the dedicated who continue to play day in and day out. Despite every single Human, Dwarf, Orc, Undead, or Elf character there is to know in Azeroth, the only thing that seemed to draw me back was the fate of Lordaeron's fallen prince and champion, Arthas Menethil, who was corrupted to the side of the Scourge and eventually becoming its leader when he merged with Ner'Zhul and transformed into the Lich King. Earlier expansions in WoW didn't fully address what had happened after his ascension in power, but with the release of "WoW": Wrath Of The Lich King", evil made its move after several years, and players could continue the adventure to Northrend, where the story would have them finally confronting the Lich King and everything brought full circle. Now with the game's latest patch, the final fate of Arthas was told, and this YouTube video, which is A SPOILER, should be viewed at your own risk. Enjoy!
