Matt Reeves is your new "The Batman" director
Looks like Ben Affleck will have more time to concentrate to play the Caped Crusader in the big screen now that he's stepped down as director, as Variety reports that Warner Bros. has selected "Cloverfield" director Matt Reeves as his replacement for the DC Extended Universe solo flick tentatively titled "The Batman". While the deal isn't set in stone, Reeves is reportedly already committed to the project - which is good given his latest directorial effort in "War of the Planet of the Apes" comes out later this year.
The Batman has no release date yet, but it is rumored to be pushed back to 2019.
