James Tynion IV and Tony S. Daniel take over “Batman” starting January 2020
Batman Day was celebrated last September 22nd, and coinciding with that event came a couple of announcements for The Dark Knight’s future - including who will be replacing writer Tom King in the mainline “Batman” comic book series next year. Following the end of the “City of Bane” storyline with issue #85 this December, DC Comics has announced that “Detective Comics” writer James Tynion IV will join forces with artists Tony S. Daniel to take on Batman starting with issue #86 this January 2020. Tom King meanwhile will go with Clay Mann and do a new 12 issue miniseries run with “Batman Catwoman” that same month.
