D23 Expo 2026 Marvel Studios News: VisionQuest, Avengers: Doomsday Special Look, and X-Men Cast Announcement

 

The annual D23 Expo showcase is always a big time to announce news for what's coming with Disney and their big time IPs, and the slate coming up for Marvel Studios is no exception! Besides formally showing off the next chapter in the Wanda and Vision Trilogy with "VisionQuest", Kevin Feige and his team showed off a new look at Avengers: Doomsday as well as announcing the cast for the long awaited Marvel Cinematic Universe iteration of the X-Men!

After a couple of years since we last saw him in "WandaVision", Paul Bettany is set to return as Vision in his very own Disney+ MCU series "VisionQuest", which will also see the return of James Spader as Ultron and a couple of more secrets unlocked inside the android's head! Marvel Studios also showed off a brand new poster and "Special Look" trailer for "Avengers: Doomsday" - which is set to hit theaters on December this year.
