Thor: Love and Thunder First Clip Shows Thor reuniting with Mjolnir and Jane Foster aka The Mighty Thor!

With just over a month to go before it hits theaters worldwide, Marvel Studios and Disney have unleashed the very first clip for “Thor: Love and Thunder” at this year’s MTV Movie and TV Awards! While it’s nothing new and acts more like an extended sequence from the end of the first trailer for the highly anticipated superhero sequel film, it does show Thor Odinson’s reaction to seeing Mjolnir again… Only for it to return to its new owner and wielder Jane Foster, aka the Mighty Thor!

Check out the new clip below!

Thor: The Dark World: Extended Trailer goes online

Striking its way into theaters by late next month internationally and on early November in the US, Marvel Studios has released a brand new "Extended Trailer" that gives fans a more in depth look at the upcoming Thor sequel for Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe - Thor: The Dark World!

Directed by Alan Taylor of Game of Thrones fame and once again seeing Chris Hemsworth back as the God of Thunder, this new trailer packs more dialogue and just a teenie bit of new scenes into the mix. Of course, in addition to Thor's return and facing a new evil force threatening reality as we know it, we see the return of Asgard and his reunion with Jane Foster... As well as his mischievous and evil step-brother, Loki.

Thor Update: A New Poster Cometh!

Movie news site Screen Rant has posted a new one sheet poster of Marvel Studios' "Thor", once again featuring Chris Hemsworth as the God Of Thunder, standing with his mighty hammer Mjolnir and looking ready to face whatever threat lies before him. This is only the second poster released to promote the movie, and it's nothing relatively new, save for the enlarged movie logo in the middle and Hemsworth's Thor shifting from a back stance to a front one. I'd like to see a poster featuring all the Asgardians, Jane Foster, S.H.I.E.L.D, and The Destroyer; Like something similar to Jon Favreau's Iron Man movie one sheets. Still, for more info on this as well as other one sheet posters of other upcoming 2011 films "The Green Hornet" and "Sucker Punch", you can visit the source post over at Screen Rant!

Thor opens in all theaters in Midgard for conventional and 3D viewing this May 6!

The Thunder God's Love Is Natalie Portman!

Seems the comic book movie industry is chugging in more mega stars to their cause!

With the announcements of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston playing Thor and Loki respectively, another big name can be added to the cast of the upcoming live-action film based on Marvel's God Of Thunder - Natalie Portman!

Newsarama broke the big news: In the Kenneth Branagh directed film, she'll be playing Jane Foster, a nurse who becomes the love interest of Thor when he travels and becomes guardian of the human realm. Thor's relationship with Foster forms one of the memorable themes of the book, and in some ways compares to the relationship between Superman and Lois Lane.

This comes as a newsworthy announcement - Portman is a talented actress who has proven several times that she can take her acting abilities to the next level. Her most notable roles would be as Padme Amidala, the tragic bride of Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and as Evey Hammond in V For Vendetta. The latter film tested her dedication to her craft when they shaved off her head as part of the story, which caused quite a stir for a while. Still, Natalie didn't mind and acted in what is considered to be one of her best roles thus far in her career. Next to her beautiful looks, she has the wit to match her tenacity as an actor, and with a combination like that, I think the role of Jane Foster is in good hands.

In a bit of trivia, Portman's latest film venture, BROTHERS, has her starring alongside Jake "Prince Of Persia" Gylenhaal and Tobey "Spider-Man" Maguire. Perfect timing for her to be included in a Marvel movie!
