X-Men TV Series planned by FOX
Looks like Marvel's band of merry mutants may hit another medium soon... And it's planned to be in the small screen!
In a report by Comic Book.com and TV Insider, there are plans in the works by FOX to bring the X-Men to television, in a manner similar to ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter. However, negotiations are still being conducted with the House of Ideas themselves, who have to greenlight and agree to the contract before anything is conceptualized or given the go entirely.
Rumors are also abuzz that the TV Series may be an adaptation of X-Factor - the government sponsored team of X-People who also serve to protect humanity and mutantkind from those who would do harm against both species. Any talk about this however is just speculation at this point, so we'll have to wait for official word before anything can be considered as a possibility.
Currently, 20th Century Fox is developing X-Men: Apocalypse, as directed by Bryan Singer and recently casting the likes of Sophie Turner of Game of Thrones fame as the new Jean Grey. She'll be joining James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Jennifer Lawrence - who reprise their roles as Charles Xavier, Erik Lehnsherr, and Mystique respectively. That film comes out on May 27, 2016.
