Set to be released in selected theaters at long last after years of delays and reshuffles, Josh Boone's "The New Mutants" will forge ahead with its opening in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic - as cinemas in the US enforcing strict social distancing protocols finally welcome the long overdue X-Men Movies spin-off film. To promote that, a new "Final Poster" and "Smile" clip have been released (as posted in Comic Book Resources), showing the cast all lined up together and a scene from the film.

One of the most important films in superhero movies history debuted this day twenty years ago in theaters in the United States! Way back in July 14, 2000 - 20th Century Fox in association with Marvel Entertainment unleashed the very first "X-Men" film - directed by Bryan Singer, written by David Hayter (aka Solid Snake of Metal Gear Solid fame) and featuring an ensemble cast that consisted of well known actors and then-unknown faces who would eventually become world renowned stars in the years to come!
X-Men (2000) Trailer #1
Adapted from the Marvel comic book series of the same name created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, this version of Marvel's Merry Mutants combined many themes and characters from the decades long history of the team - with characters like Wolverine and Rogue being incorporated into the main story and roster of characters. A then unknown Hugh Jackman was cast as Logan/ Wolverine - a highly desired role that was supposed to go to the likes of Russell Crowe and Dougray Scott, but scheduling conflicts for the latter ed to Jackman being cast and the rest as they say is history - as the actor would portray Wolverine for over ten films in the X-Men Movies franchise and turning him into a bonafide Hollywood star in addition to his accomplishments as a theater actor.
The film also stars Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, Halle Berry as Storm, and Anna Paquin as Rogue - a powerful cast to behold and during a time when Marvel movies were still limited to this, Blade the year before, and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man in 2002. These films would eventually help Marvel recoup from the bankruptcy woes and leasing out their characters to other studios - leading to the eventual formation of "Marvel Studios" and the release of the first "Iron Man" movie in 2008. 20th Century Fox would also continue to see success in their "X-Men Movies" franchise following the first X-Men film, with many sequels, prequels, and spin-offs that would see Hugh Jackman's Wolverine get his own trilogy of solo films and a new generation of actors playing the younger versions of the X-Men in a established new timeline. And of course Ryan Reynolds became Deadpool and had two movies to his name - all of this happening before Fox was bought by Disney and the X-Men films under their watch ended with last year's "Dark Phoenix".
So say what you will, but we owe this film a lot for all the superhero movies we get today. Happy 20 years, X-Men!
It's been almost 20 years since the first "X-Men" film was released and started the former 20th Century Fox's "X-Men Movies" universe, and to kind of commemorate that milestone - Wolverine star and actor Hugh Jackman had a "cast reunion" with his co-stars like Patrick Stewart/ Professor X, Halle Berry/ Storm, and Famke Janssen/ Jean Grey to reminisce about the good times and playing Marvel's Merry Mutants in the big screen.

That is until Deadpool star and actor Ryan Reynolds shows up in the conference uninvited... And some hilarious stuff ensues that you just need to watch the video via Global Citizen for yourselves.
Undeniably one of the best superhero films ever made and something very worthy of the Academy Awards, director James Mangold's "Logan" was a certified hit and up there among the best movies released in 2017. It was the swan song and perfect ending for Hugh Jackman's tenure as the titular character in Fox's "X-Men Movies" saga - with the former "Wolverine" living his twilight years caring for an ailing Charles Xavier and discovering he has a clone daughter in Laura/ X-23.
Recently, James Mangold held a watch party for "Logan", and shared some new "Never-Before-Seen" pictures and concept art from the film that delivers more insight and glimpses into what made this X-Men spin-off film resonate with the fanbase. You can check out more via Comic Book Movie.com
It's been THREE YEARS since Hugh Jackman went at it "One Last Time" and played the superhero part he made famous in the big screen as Wolverine/ Logan in the aptly titled "Logan" - the X-Men Movies spin-off film and third entry in the "Wolverine Trilogy" that sees an aged, battered, and tired Logan living in a world with lesser mutants and caring for an elderly Charles Xavier - only to be thrust back into the spotlight when he is hunted by men looking for a young girl with the same powers he has. It was the perfect send-off movie for the character who has been the centerpiece of Fox's X-Men Movies for years, and Jackman honors that legacy by sharing some new photos of his jacked up Old Man Logan with claws sheathed out via his Instagram!
X-CELLENT looking photos of the best there is. Jackman really got ripped for the role.
Directed by James Mangold, Logan was released in March 2017 and was one of the last films of 20th Century Fox's X-Men film franchise before the company was eventually bought by Disney. Jackman also co-starred with the returning Patrick Stewart as Professor X/ Charles Xavier, while a then young Dafne Keen played his daughter Laura Kinney/ X-23.
2020 is a good year for Hasbro and Marvel fans and collectors, as the recent "New York Toy Fair" weekend not only revealed some juicy new toys and collectibles that are coming out this year and beyond, but also some brand new waves and additions to the popular "Marvel Legends" line of action figures!
During Hasbro Pulse's Preview Event segment at Toy Fair 2020, the heads and minds behind the Marvel Legends division revealed some of the juicy new figures to come through 2020 and after - including Gamerverse figures based on the upcoming "Marvel's Avengers" game, more X-Men figures, an Age of Apocalypse line with Sugar Man as the Build-A-Figure, An Abomination wave, Deluxe figures of Nimrod and AoA Apocalypse, and a new vintage set of Spider-Man figures paying tribute to the 1994 animated series toy line! But probably the BEST announcement made was figures based on the Fox X-Men Movies universe - including Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, BOTH versions of Professor X and Magneto (alternate heads), AND Deadpool! Check out the video above and see how the show went!
After a long while in limbo and its release date fluctuating over the past few years, 20th Century Fox and Marvel are finally ready to deliver their other X-Men Movies spin-off in "The New Mutants" - which has a horror thriller vibe added to its mix of young kids with special abilities as they team-up and try to get out of a secret facility with sinister secrets.
Starring Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt, and Henry Zaga, the film is directed by Josh Boone.

If you thought Ryan Reynolds was done with his Deadpool stint for the year... THINK AGAIN. With the X-Men Movies getting reshuffled and more reshoots done, the Merc with a Mouth has to step in to give a little remix this holiday season in the form of "Once Upon A Deadpool" - a PG-13, heavily edited version of Deadpool 2 that will be told as a "Christmas Story" by Wade Wilson to a helpless Fred Savage of "The Wonder Years" fame. In this, Reynolds will play a "Parody" of Savage's role in "The Princess Bride" - in which his character was told a story by Peter Falk narrating the events of that movie but "skipping all the adult content" it had.
