ICYMI: WB and DC tap Doug Liman to direct Justice League Dark
Looks like the mystical and magic users of the DC Universe are once again on track to get their very own movie adaptation, as a report by Variety (via Comic Book.com) has Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment announcing that director Doug Liman of "The Bourne Identity" and "Edge of Tomorrow" fame is now tapped to direct the live-action "Justice League Dark" film!
Pitched by Guillermo del Toro and once placed to be directed by him as well, Justice League Dark is an adaptation of the DC Comics group of the same name that has the likes of John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, and Swamp Thing among its ranks. del Toro is no longer attached to direct, but he will still serve as producer of the movie alongside Scott Rudin. When the film will be released and who's starring in it has yet to be decided, but Liman's presence means he is no longer directing the Gambit spin-off film for 20th Century Fox's X-Men Movies universe.
