Looks like fans who were holding on to hope that Young Justice would return just got their prayers answered, as Warner Bros. Animation announced vis DC Comics.com that the series is OFFICIALLY COMING BACK for a third season, which is already beginning production but has no details or a network named to call its home yet.
Following the adventures of the young heroes of the DC Universe that have come together as a covert operations group called "The Team", "Young Justice" ran for two seasons on Cartoon Network and featured the likes of Robin/ Nightwing, Superboy, Aqualad, Miss Martian, Kid Flash, and Artemis among its ranks along with appearances from their fellow heroes and mentors from the Justice League. The show ran for 46 episodes, yet ended in bittersweat fashion after one of its members made the ultimate sacrifice. Now that it's coming back, many plotholes and threads can FINALLY be resolved and fans who have loved the show since day one are going to be very happy!
