ICYMI: Meet "The Robin King" - the newest Dark Multiverse monstrosity debuting in "Dark Nights Death Metal #2"

One of the most sadistic alternate versions of Batman to come out of 2018's "Dark Nights Metal" event was "The Batman Who Laughs" - the result of a "fusion" of The Joker's final laughing gas gift that infects a Batman from an alternate world after he kills his most feared adversary and transforming him into the thing he fears the most - becoming his own worst enemy and with the skills of the Dark Knight to boot. This evil Bruce Wayne along with other alternate versions of the Caped Crusader hailed from the Dark Multiverse and tried to conquer the regular DCU - only to be thwarted and all except the Batman Who Laughs being defeated.

Fast forward to the new event by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo in the sequel series "Dark Nights Death Metal", and we meet the newest creature to come out of TBWL's legacy - The Robin King.

As tweeted by Scott Snyder himself, this barbaric noble and twisted version of the Boy Wonder looks to be The Batman Who Laugh's "insurance policy". He'll be debuting on "Dark Nights Death Metal #2" this month - but the variant cover above by

Jason Fabok teases "Batman: Three Jokers" anew with a bloody crowbar wielding Joker

It's been some time since comic book fans have heard anything from Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok's upcoming DC Black Label series "Batman: Three Jokers" - but Fabok took to his social media pages Facebook and Twitter and shared a brand new image of one of the versions of the Clown Prince of Crime that will be appearing in the book. The image shows the Joker of the late 1980's era - holding a bloody crowbar - which is a reference to the time he brutally beat and then subsequently killed the second Robin, Jason Todd. That is considered one of the greatest failures Batman has ever experienced, and evidently the past is coming back to haunt him and his family again in the new story to come.

While there hasn't been much information about this upcoming series, what is known is that the story will focus on the aforementioned three Jokers as well as Bruce Wayne/ Batman, Barbara Gordon/ Batgirl, and Jason Todd/ Red Hood - all three who have traumatic encounters and history with the laughing lunatic from Gotham City.

DC Universe is repeating history by letting viewers decide if Jaosn Todd lives or dies in "Titans"

History repeats itself... And it's up to you viewers whether Batman's greatest failure will be reinterpreted in a popular live-action TV Series.

According to Comic Book Resources, DC Universe is sending a poll out to viewers of "Titans" that decides whether or not Jason Todd, the latest Robin and played by Curran Walters, will live or die after the cliffhanger fall he had in the latest episode of the series through the hands of Deathstroke. While it doesn't play out like the original 1988 Batman storyline "A Death in the Family" where The Joker is responsible, it still is left to the fans what his ultimate fate will be.

Check out Titans to see how that turns out. (Update, here's the spoiler via Comic Book.com).
