Superman: New "Krypton" poster released; "Metropolis" digital TV series announced for 2019
2018 honors the 80th anniversary of a certain "Man of Steel", but he's going to be getting some love in the form of some new upcoming TV shows that take place way before he showed up as the hero everyone knows and loves today. One of them will premiere this year, while the other has been given a series order for DC's upcoming digital network for 2019.
Coming out this year will be "Krypton" - a show that takes place two generations before Kal-El was sent to Earth and follows the adventures of his grandfather Seg-El. Above is a new poster promoting the show, showing the familiar "House of El" crest and Seg standing right at the center of it. The series will premiere on March 21st on Sci-Fi.
Next up will be "Metropolis" - which follows the adventures of Lex Luthor and Lois Lane and explores the mysteries hidden in the City of Tomorrow before the arrival of Superman. The show has been given a 13-episode first season for the DC Digital Service coming in 2019. Read more about the story via Coming Soon.
