ICYMI: Matt Reeves teaming up with HBO Max to produce "The Batman" spin-off TV Series
While Matt Reeves' "The Batman" is still currently filming and in production, sights are now being set to produce a "TV Spin-off Series" for that will be set in the same world - effectively creating a new cinematic universe that will explore other characters living in Gotham City - primarily the brave men and women from Gotham Central.
According to a report by Coming Soon, Reeves will be teaming up with Boardwalk Empire creator Terrence Winter and producer Dylan Clark in creating the unnamed TV Series for HBO Max - HBO's new streaming service. While casting and details haven't been done yet, this is an amazing prospect to link the new Batman film's continuity in other media - expanding its horizons and thereby maximizing its potential beyond the movies. We'll just have to wait and see how that turns out!

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Now opening on March 25, 2016; DC Films mystery schedule mapped out as well
Looks like fans worried about the release date clash between a DC Comics film and Marvel movie can breath a sigh of relief, as good news comes in the form of a new release date for Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!
As reported by Coming Soon.net, the sequel to the Man of Steel has now moved from a May 6, 2016 date to March 25, 2016, effectively putting in ahead of all contenders in that year. Now Henry Cavill's Superman can meet/ square-off with Ben Affleck's Batman and also come face-to-face with Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman without contending with Marvel Studios' own Star-Spangled Patriot's third outing, which is also set for a May 6 release that year.
Also announced in the source post is a schedule Warner Bros. has mapped out for DC Films, which run all the way to the year 2020. While no titles have been given or associated with the dates:
August 5, 2016
June 23, 2017
November 11, 2017
March 23, 2018
July 27, 2018
April 5, 2019
June 14, 2019
April 3, 2020
and June 19, 2020
They've also scheduled "event" films (i.e., not necessarily DC Comics related) for:
November 16, 2018
and November 20, 2020.
That's pretty much the DC Cinematic Universe laid out right there, and one has to wonder where Shazam and Justice League fit in to this schedule. Only time and updates will tell as they come along from WB and DC Entertainment.

Arrow: Devon Aoki as Katana, Peter Stormare as Vertigo, and "Big Things" teased to come on SDCC '14
Big things are coming for the upcoming third season of Arrow, and it involves two DC Comics Characters, a hero and a villain, who will be well-known to fans of a certain Dark Knight hero and the emerald archer himself, as well as star Stephen Amell teasing away for the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2014.
After introducing a ton of characters in the show and opening the floodgates for what can very well be a DC TV Universe that interconnects with future shows (like that of The Flash), Season 3 of Arrow plans to introduce a well-known heroic face in the form of Katana, who will be played by Devon Aoki. Those who've read the comics know she is associated with Batman, and has served as a member of The Outsiders as well as the Birds of Prey. Aoki previously had roles in the likes of Frank Miller's Sin City, as well as playing Kasumi for the live-action film adaptation of the popular Tecmo fighting game franchise, Dead or Alive. For more information, visit the source post at Coming Soon.
The next bit of interesting casting news is that actor Peter Stormare, who played Lucifer in Keanu Reeve's 2005 film Constantine, has been cast as Werner Zytle, aka THE Count Vertigo. This is not to be confused with "The Count", whom Oliver eliminated in Season 2 and who was played by Seth Gabel. This version of Vertigo will be closely associated with his comic book counterpart, and should be an interesting new enemy for The Arrow to face in the new season. For more information, visit the source post at Comic Book.com.
Finally, Stephen Amell has promised that "Big Things" will come in SDCC '14, but teased nothing more than that he will be there for the Arrow Panel discussion on Friday via his official Facebook page. For more info, visit the source post at Comic Book.com.
Arrow is slated to return with Season 3 on October 8 on The CW.

Jurassic Park 4 gets retitled as "Jurassic World" and set for a June 2015 release
After months since the last update and confirmation came to place, looks like Steven Spielberg's return to the world of Dinosaurs is back on track for 2015... And literally, it'll be a bigger emphasis on the word "world".
Announced by Universal Pictures, the new sequel to the Jurassic Park film franchise that was once titled "Jurassic Park 4" will now be called "Jurassic World", and will see Spielberg return on a producing capacity. Helming the new film will be director Colin Trevorrow, whose past films include the 2002 Home Base and 2012's Safety Not Guaranteed. Trevorrow also wrote the draft for the screenplay alongside Derek Connolly, though no details have surfaced yet on the plot for the film.
It's safe to assume that with the title "Jurassic World", the dinosaurs won't be limited to a park or an island... And may just explode into the global scene with catastrophic results ala The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Time will tell for sure how it goes, and with the rerelease of Jurassic Park in 3D giving us a taste of the conversion, the new film will be entirely shot in this format. For more information, visit the source post at Coming Soon.
Jurassic World comes to 3D and conventional theaters on June 12, 2015.

Ben Affleck Is Batman: No matter what, he stays, and it's too early in the game to judge
So, in case you didn't hear the news, let's reiterate and revisit the fact... Ben Affleck IS Batman.
Above you'll see one of the many fan posters made and appearing online to commemorate the announcement made just a few days ago - We have a NEW BATMAN. Despite drawing a LOT of mixed reactions and criticism from all fronts around the globe, I will certainly say that it's still TOO EARLY in the game to judge Affleck, and we should be patient well until we actually see news/ footage/ trailers showing him in the cape and cowl. Heck, we should wait until the movie shows on 2015 to get a proper view of what turns out, and even people known to be associated with Affleck, or have engaged in the comic book movie industry or have even played the role of the Caped Crusader at one point weigh in on Warner Bros. choice! Read on and see some of the comments from the stars who have buzzed and shared their thoughts via Twitter!
