Looks like we finally have a release date for Constantin Films, Screen Gems, and Sony Pictures upcoming Resident Evil movie reboot, as Deadline reports that the Johannes Roberts directed movie is set for a September 3 release.
The new film, which will ignore the continuity of the Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich films, will adapt the storyline from the first two Resident Evil/ Biohazard games. Kaya Scodelario, Robbie Amell, Hannah John-Kamen, and Avan Jogia will play Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Leon S. Kennedy respectively, while Tom Hopper and Neal McDonough will play series antagonists Albert Wesker and William Birkin.
