It looks like one of the most beloved chapters in Castlevania lore is getting the Netflix anime series treatment, as Samuel Deats, Adam Deats, and the rest of Powerhouse Animation and team Castlevania Netflix has announced at Geeked Week that they are adapting the stories of Richter Belmont and Maria Renard -- better known as the playable heroes of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and its remake Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles!

While nothing was shown for the new spinoff series, the details are that it's set in 1792 and during the French Revolution. It's not known if this will be a straight adaptation of Rondo of Blood or if Dracula and Castlevania plays into it, but we'll find out eventually and if there is a chance that the events of the sequel Castlevania: Symphony of the Night will be factored in as Richter and Maria also feature in that Alucard starring Metroidvania game. We'll just have to wait and see what the team and Netflix have got for us soon!
