What does "Civil War II: The Fallen #1" solicitation mean?

If there's anything to prepare for once Marvel Comics begins its newest crossover sequel in "Civil War II" this coming week with issue #0, it's that the miniseries will start down a path where ramifications will be felt and nothing will ever be the same afterwards. Much more can be said about the mysterious "Civil War II: The Fallen #1" solicitation for August 2016 seen in Bleeding Cool.com, which promises to be answered on July 6th by Marvel...

What could it mean? Will someone VERY IMPORTANT buy the big one much like a certain Star-Spangled Avenger did after the first Civil War series in 2006? We'll have to wait and see... The teaser is ominous.

Marvel Civil War II: Sides are chosen to "Protect" or "Change" the Future in new teaser posters

It's time to divide the Marvel Universe as we know it once again, as friends and allies are going to take sides and make a stand for a cause as the "Future" becomes the subject of tension and arguments in "Civil War II" - a follow-up to the decade old battle that saw Iron Man and Captain America battle over a Superhero Registration Act that required heroes to register and reveal their identities to the public.

Now via Marvel.com and Comic Book.com, meet the sides in this new war - led by Captain Marvel/ Carol Danvers and Iron Man/ Tony Stark.

On the side of those who want to "change the future" and use the abilities of the Inhumans to predict crimes before they happen, Captain Marvel leads the likes of Captain America/ Steve Rogers, She-Hulk, Hawkeye, and Spider-Man/ Peter Parker in making sure they can make a difference before catastrophe hits.

On the other hand, Iron Man stands opposed to the idea, and gathers a team with the likes of Daredevil, Star-Lord, Captain America/ Sam Wilson, and Black Widow to make sure to "protect the future", keep it unaltered, and make sure justice is served properly without pre-empting it.

Civil War II hits on June, with a prequel coming out on Free Comic Book Day this year on May.

Marvel releases interior artwork preview for "Civil War II"

In what is certainly one of the most ambitious sequels to come as the event that it follows up on happened a decade ago, Marvel has released the first interior art for "Civil War II", which will be done by Brian Michael Bendis, David Marquez, and Justin Ponsor. The artwork above features a mix of the characters now headlining the "All-New, All-Different" Marvel Universe post Secret Wars, with the likes of Thor/ Jane Foster, Spider-Man/ Peter Parker, Captain Marvel, War Machine, The Inhumans, and more. The premise will see Iron Man and Captain Marvel/ Carol Danvers at odds... And one can only imagine how this will change the landscape of the MU as we know it.

Civil War II begins on May with Free Comic Book Day's sampling of the event in Civil War II #0.
