18 years have passed since the last time we saw Neo and Trinity - who gave their lives to broker peace between humanity and the machines during "The Matrix Revolutions". Now we finally get a continuation coming this Christmas season, as Lana Wachowski brings back Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss for "The Matrix Resurrections" - which just released its first trailer online!

It's time to dive back into the rabbit hole and the world of The Matrix, as Lana Wachowski reunites Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Jada Pinkett Smith and brings in the likes of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick for "The Matrix Resurrections" - the fourth film in the franchise and a sequel to 2003's "The Matrix Revolutions".
The official website is up, and gives fans a glimpse into the full trailer coming Thursday.
The Matrix Resurrections will premiere in theaters and HBO Max on December 22 this year.
Thanks to Cinemacon and the lucky attendees of that show - we now have an official title for the next installment of The Matrix franchise... And it is called The Matrix: Resurrections.
The Keanu Reeves and Carrie Anne Moss starring film will see a new adventure begin for an older Neo and Trinity, as they are strangely living their lives inside The Matrix without any recollection of their previous lives...
