Cowboy Bebop: Netflix answers where Ed is with an official video tease *Possible Spoilers of course*

 

For those who saw teasers and promotions for just released Cowboy Bebop Netflix, longtime fans have asked wondered where Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV, aka Radical Ed the hacker and the other member of the Bebop crew, has been and why she's mysteriously absent from the show. That was addressed if you watched the events of the first season, and Netflix themselves released a Twitter video in social media.

Happens", Netflix has unveiled the full trailer for the live-action TV series adaptation of Cowboy Bebop - the genre defining hit anime series that sees John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, and Daniella Pineda as space-faring bounty hunters Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, and Faye Valentine!

In just a few short months, we'll finally be getting the long awaited Netflix live-action series adaptation of the anime show that transcended beyond any genre in Cowboy Bebop - which stars John Cho as Spike Spiegel, Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black, and Daniella Pinaeda as Faye Valentine! The official teaser poster can be seen above, and thanks to Netflix's TUDUM event now we get our first look at the upcoming series and then some in the opening/ intro!

After releasing a behind the scenes teaser montage during Netflix Geeked Week a couple of months back, Netflix has unveiled some pretty awesome photos featuring John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, and Daniella Pineda as Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, and Faye Valentine respectively for the Live-Action Cowboy Bebop series!

As you can see with the exception of some alterations for Faye, most of the costumes have stuck and are at least faithful with Spike and Jet. Ein is also present and of course played by a real-life Corgi... And that's going to melt the hearts of fans everywhere. No Ed in sight sadly, but you can check out the rest of the pics here.

Netflix gives their first Behind-The-Scenes cast look at Cowboy Bebop, Series premieres this fall with Yoko Kanno returning for the music

 

After announcing that they would be teasing and showing fans a glimpse of what's coming to the streaming service soon, Netflix has unveiled a new Behind-The-Scenes cast look at Cowboy Bebop - with stars John Cho, Daniella Pineda, and Mustafa Shakir as Spike Spiegel, Faye Valentine, and Jet Black respectively... All sitting down waiting to be interviewed as the beast of "Tank!" by Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts plays... Confirming that the music will be done by the legendary team as well!

Following the tease, Netflix also confirmed that the series will be arriving this fall. Stay tuned for more updates from them!

Netflix confirms a 10 episode Live-Action Cowboy Bebop series is in the works

After a string of hits and adaptations of popular properties and franchises have gone their way with awesome results, Netflix has officially confirmed that Shinichiro Watanabe's popular and beloved "Cowboy Bebop" anime series will finally be getting the live-action treatment! According to The Verge, the popular streaming service is co-producing the project with Tomorrow Studios, with 10-episodes planned and Watanabe serving as consultant and Christopher Yost tapped to pen the first episode.

No release date has been planned nor other details given, but this should have the Bebop Crew with Spike, Faye, Jet, Ed, and Ein, as well as the AWESOME JAZZY MUSIC by Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts.

It's hard to imagine that it's been exactly 20 YEARS to this day that acclaimed Anime director Shinichiro Watanabe and production studio Sunrise unleashed one of the most iconic Japanese Anime series ever produced. On April 3, 1998, Cowboy Bebop first aired on TV Tokyo - with the episode "Asteroid Blues" and introducing us to a Space Western series infused with film noir, jazz, action, and drama like no other. We got to meet the crew of the Bebop - headlined by the laid back, Jeet Kune Do practicing Spike Spiegel - a bounty hunter with a mysterious past that was slowly revealed over the 26 episodes that aired in this classic show. He was joined by his partner and best friend Jet Black, a former cop who captains the ship they use to travel around the cosmos, as well as the beautiful and seductive Faye Valentine, the tech wiz crazy kid Ed, and Ein the data dog.

If anything, I could say A LOT about this series as well as its spectacular soundtrack done in the vein of Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Funk as presented by Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts - but if you haven't watched an Anime and are aiming to start or find a classic - THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU. 20 years and it still stands the test of time - the intro "Tank!" says it all.

If you've seen the trailers and followed the marketing religously, Steven Spielberg's adaptation of Ernest Cline's "Ready Player One" is shaping up to be one popculture spectacle - particularly because of the many franchises and icons that will be appearing in the film as easter eggs and avatars - like the Delorean from Back to the Future, The Iron Giant, the RX-78-2 Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam, and with this new poster that debuted on the film's Facebook page - the Swordfish II from Cowboy Bebop!

Definitely a grand poster that makes for a great Valentine's Day treat, and a movie to see and catch when it opens in theaters this March!
