Meet the new "Heroes For Hire"!

Marvel and Newsarama have unveiled the latest incarnation and return of the superhero group lending their services to the public... The Heroes For Hire!

Iron Fist. Moon Knight. Elektra. Ghost Rider. Punisher. These five, together with Misty Knight, Paladin and The Falcon, will start teaming up and dealing with the baddies together after the events of Shadowland. The book will see its first issue out this December, so get ready to pay dues when these costumed heroes come!

The New Man Without Fear... Revealed!

This post contains SPOILERS for those following Daredevil and Shadowland, so it would be wise to turn your heads away now upon reading this. Yes, something's going to happen come November, but the aftermath is BIG NEWS to behold. Got it? Still here? Don't say I didn't warn you, because this will be the LAST WARNING before the reveal.

















After Shadowland concludes this November, a new Man Without Fear will be taking over the position held by Matt Murdock, known better to the world as Daredevil. Something will happen to DD within the pages of the crossover that will require a new guardian of Hell's Kitchen to be selected... and that man is none other than T'Challa himself... THE BLACK PANTHER!

Yes, via Newsarama and announced on G4's "Attack Of The Show", the king of Wakanda will be taking over Matt Murdock's role as the new Man Without Fear, beginning with "Black Panther: The Man Without Fear #513" this December! Yes, the title won't end, and the name change does sound a bit strange, but this is not Marvel's first attempt at such an act, as they have done a similar routine to the Hulk when they changed "The Incredible Hulk" to "The Incredible Hercules" after the World War Hulk crossover event. Daredevil shall be Reborn?

When Shadowland ends and its aftermath begins, something big will happen to main protagonist/ antagonist Daredevil, which will call for the rise of a new "Man Without Fear" in the streets of Hell's Kitchen. Who that is and the circumstances involved with it has yet to be determined, but Marvel is rolling along with the teasers regardless, and their latest one comes from the recent FanExpo convention, with a cover to a new series simply called "Daredevil: Reborn", as seen in a post in Newsarama.


Nothing much revealing about this cover other than the suggestion that the old DD, Matt Murdock, has fallen, but I don't want to speculate anything just yet until we find out what happens at the end of Shadowland. Here's hoping there's a twist of sorts, and this doesn't go the way of Captain America: Reborn.

After SHADOWLAND wraps up, what will be the final fate of the Man Without Fear this November? We'll just have to wait and see.

Marvel Teasers: The New Man Without Fear?

Everybody hear about Shadowland? The new Marvel Comics event sees Daredevil sporting a new costume and, as leader of the Hand, leading an army of ninjas to take out crime in the streets of New York... Permanently. This does not bode well for many of the heroes and villains in NYC, so they're caught in the middle of a war for the soul of the city, and things may not end in a happy note once everything is said and done. In fact, the first issue of Shadowland landed a major blow to the status quo and reputation of Matt Murdock, seeing a last page shocker that sent fans in a talking frenzy. What that is, I won't say or spoil, but it should be common knowledge at this point by now.

Right now, Marvel is slowly sending out new "teaser posters" that highlight the aftermath of Shadowland, pointing out to readers one very simple question and tagline: "Who Will Be The New Man Without Fear"? That alludes to something significant happening to Daredevil himself, as this is the title he embraced and carried for so long as a hero and vigilante in the streets of Hell's Kitchen. We won't know what Mr. Murdock's fate will be until the next few months, but a few heroes to "replace him" as of the posters featured by Marvel and Newsarama have popped up, namely those of Nova and Gambit.

Take your pick and guesses on which of these two revealed Marvel characters will be worthy of DD's title, but there's a good chance more candidates will show up soon. Stay tuned for more updates as time passes.

A New... Daredevil?

I haven't been following Daredevil lately, but I have been keeping up to date with the fact that he's the new leader of the Ninja mercenary group known as "The Hand". Given his on and off the radar activities in the entire Marvel Universe, it's hard to keep up with good ol' Matty Murdock. However, he's going to be a prominent figure in this new "Shadowland" event Marvel is promoting for July 2010, and by the looks of things, the Daredevil legacy is going to undergo a major change, as depicted in this teaser pic here courtesy of Marvel.com:
