It's the kind of stuff dreams are made of... Especially when it comes to building a classic game from a fellow game's engine.
Via a story from IGN, a team of modders have successfully tried their hand in creating an actual Warcraft game using the Starcraft II engine, recalling the good old days of Real-Time Strategy gaming for the franchise before it ushered in a new age with the MMORPG franchise "World of Warcrft". Entitled "Warcraft: A New Dawn", the game pits classic factions inn The Horde and Alliance against one another, fighting to achieve dominance and supremacy against the other race while maintaining keep and resources to wage battle against each other.

Starcraft II gets pushed back to 2010...
Sad news, Starcraft fans. According to Blizzard through a post in Kotaku, Starcraft II: Wings Of Liberty is delayed until the first half of 2010. That means no one will be seeing Terran, Protoss, and Zerg bloodshed anytime until next year.

Amidst fans concerns and woes over the three disc game's "true" release date, we finally have it, and it looks like Blizzard has a good reason for the delay of one of the most highly anticipated sequels in gaming history. According to the developers, the move was made to give way to the relaunch of their new battle.net service, which powers up the multiplayer capabilities of all Blizzard games. While campaign mode is certainly something many are looking forward to playing, nobody can deny that multiplayer is an ABSOLUTE necessity for starcraft, and how the game was meant to be played - against friends and foes for space battle supremacy!
Ah well, there goes everyone's hopes for "intergalactic real time strategy fun" by the end of this year. Maybe by the time the Blizzcon arrives, fans will get more details on the game and it's official release date.
