SPOILER ALERT: The answer to the big "Batman #32" question has been revealed
This week marks the end of Tom King and Mikel Janin's epic Batman storyline called "The War of Jokes and Riddles" - which depicts one of The Dark Knight's greatest challenges in his early crimefighting days where he had to save Gotham City from a bloodthirsty feud between The Joker and The Riddler. That story in itself is one of the best testaments to what makes DC Comics' "Rebirth" initiative one of the best things to bring in new and old readers into the fold... But there is one thing lingering at the end of this storyline that Batfans have been waiting for - the answer to Batman's marriage proposal to Catwoman during "Every Epilogue is a Prelude" in Batman #24.
Naturally, this is a SPOILER for anyone who follows Batman and is looking forward to "Batman #32". The reveal was made by USA Today and also reported by Newsarama. CLICK AT YOUR OWN RISK.
So after narrating his entire past experience to Selina Kyle on "The War of Jokes and Riddles" in the issue, Bruce Wayne's confiding in the woman he proposed to finally comes to a point where he wants to know if she can love somebody like him - with all his flaws, fears, and doubts exposed.
Thanks to USA Today's reveal, we have the answer to Batman asking Catwoman "Will You Marry Me?"
A DEFINITE "YES"! And of course writer Tom King chimes in why: "They're two broken people, and because they're broken, they have the edges that fit together." WELL SAID AND IT'S ABOUT TIME BATFANS. We'll just have to see how this plays out in the future of the "Rebirth" era of DC Comics.
Batman #32 will be released this week in comic book shops and retail stores worldwide. GRAB IT.
