ICYMI: Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City "Nightmare Trailer"

 

Building its way towards release in theaters and adapting elements of the first and second games of the critically acclaimed survival horror video game series, director Johannes Roberts, Sony Pictures, Screen Gems, and Constantin Film present a new trailer for "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" - which is titled "Nightmare" and gives more glimpses of what to expect from the upcoming reboot film.

Hold up! A second and MUCH BETTER Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City Trailer is online!

 


After the release of that first trailer that got a lot of viewers mixed about the film, a second trailer for "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" has been discovered online - which is MUCH BETTER in terms of delivering the tone of the film and not using the "What's Up" song.

After months of promotional teases and photos, the world finally gets to see what Screen Gems and Constantin Film are going to do with their reboot of the Resident Evil movie universe that will be more faithful to the games - as the first trailer for "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" is finally here!

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City first photos online c/o IGN


Months after wrapping up filming and getting post-production work done for its November release this year, Constantin Films, Screen Gems, and Sony Pictures have released the first look photos for “Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City” - which is directed by Johannes Roberts and will be an adaptation of the first two games of the Resident Evil/ Biohazard game series, leaving behind the Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S Anderson continuity of films and adapting the source material instead.

The film stars Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, and Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy. Tom Hopper plays Albert Wesker, and Lisa Trevor from the RE Remake is also out going to be in the remake.

Resident Evil Movie Reboot reveals it title as Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

 


Revealed just in time for the 25th Anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise, director Johannes Roberts has given us the official title for his Resident Evil movie reboot - and it's called "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City"!

In an interview with IGN during the SXSW online event, Roberts discussed the movie and revealed the title - an obvious homage and reference to the signage and setting of the original games. The new RE movie will adapt the first two games in the series, and is set primarily in 1998 and will be more faithful to the source material this time around. Fan favorite characters Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, and Leon S. Kennedy are in this, as well as series baddies Albert Wesker and Dr. William Birkin.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will be released in theaters on September 3 in the US.
