The Hobbit: 17 new character posters debut

Over the weekend, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have released a brand new set of character posters for Peter Jackson's upcoming return to Middle-Earth with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The poster above shows Sir Ian McKellen back as Gandalf The Grey, and other posters show Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield, Gollum, and Galadriel to name a few. The Hobbit: Peter Jackson reveals Comic-Con poster!

Via his official Facebook page, Peter Jackson has shared this gorgeous and exclusive Comic-Con poster to his upcoming prequel of The Lord Of The Rings trilogy - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey! Featuring Sir Ian McKellen once again donning the pointy hat and stick as Gandalf The Grey, the poster showcases the aged and kindly wizard, as he walks down a path that overlooks the Shire, home of the Hobbits and one Bilbo Baggins! More treats are sure to come once San Diego Comic-Con hits next week, so stay tuned and be sure to catch more updates from Peter Jackson and Warner Bros!

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey comes to theaters on December 14, while the second part, The Hobbit: There And Back Again, hits the following year on December 13!
