C2E2 2020: "X of Swords" will be the next X-Men event this Summer 2020
After experiencing a literal Rebirth, Renaissance, and Reunion in House of X/ Powers of X and a new beginning in "Dawn of X" that has united the mutant community under one nation of Krakoa, Head of X architect and writer Jonathan Hickman and his team of X-Men writers, artists, and creators are ready for the next summer event for the Children of the Atom, and it's called "X of Swords" - as referenced by the promotional image featuring most of the well known characters of the X-Universe wielding their famous blades that are either signature, mystic, enchanted, or cursed.
Announced at this weekend's C2E2 event and reported by Newsarama, "X of Swords" will see Hickman team up with "Excalibur" series writer Tini Howard - who came up with the name and may refer to the Tarot card "Ten of Swords", as well as a literal "crossing of swords/ weapons" as the "X" may imply. Famous weapons such as Wolverine's Muramase Blade, Magik's Soulsword, Excalibur itself, and many others are seen in the teaser poster drawn by Mark Brooks.
"X of Swords" is announced to begin this July and will be a crossover through the X-Men titles.

Marvel announces "The Death of Wolverine" miniseries for September
Marvel dropped a bombshell of a headline on C2E2 weekend, and it involves the upcoming demise of one of the comic publisher's most recognizable heroes... Wolverine.
Via Entertainment Weekly, the publisher has announced that the Ol' Canucklehead and the X-Men's most feral mutant will be facing something he cannot beat come September... Death. Written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Steve McNiven, this culminates the events of Logan losing his healing factor in the story arc "Killable", followed by the current ongoing storyline of "3 Months to Die".
Will Wolverine truly meet his maker on the year of his 40th Anniversary? We'll have to find out this September.

C2E2 2013: Superior Spider-Man meets Spider-Man 2099 on issue #17
It's been a bold new era this year for fans of Spider-Man keeping up with the comics. Not only is there a "new guy" behind the mask, but the status quo has definitely changed in the comics for our friendly neighborhood webslinger.
Many already know what those changes are, and it's Otto "Doc Ock" Octavius successfully swapping brains with Peter Parker/ Spider-Man on the last few issues of Amazing Spider-Man and becoming the "Superior Spider-Man", taking over Peter's life and trying to be a hero in his own right (albeit with difficulty). The ride has been good so far... But writer Dan Slott promises a new "game changer" that will have fans clamoring anew and worse than in "The Amazing Spider-Man #700" when Peter "passed on". Come Superior Spider-Man #9 coming out this May 1st, It's Doc Ock vs Peter Parker in their shared mind, with an outcome we have yet to discover...
Still, that's not the big news. Rather, it's Marvel announcing during their C2E2 panel that Miguel O'Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099, making an appearance and meeting the Superior Spider-Man come issue #17! What can we expect from the future webhead meeting the present Spidey? We'll find out soon enough!
