Man Of Steel: Official Blu-Ray and Gift Set releases revealed online

Just a month after seeing release in theaters, fans and collectors looking forward to the release of Warner Bros. and DC Comics' Superman reboot film "Man Of Steel" can finally pre-order the film both as a standard Blu-Ray and Gift Set release.

Featured on the official Man Of Steel Facebook page, the Blu-Ray Gift Set Edition not only features the film in Blu-Ray, DVD, and Ultraviolet, but two figurines as well in the form of Superman and General Zod! Those who loved the movie will probably want to check out details on Pre-ordering, which can be done via Amazon for Standard and Gift Set Editions. No release date has been given yet, but sometime before the year ends is a good bet.

After another viral marketing tease via a cryptic message left by General Zod in the official Man Of Steel website, Warner Bros. has released another brand new trailer for their upcoming Superman reboot film "Man Of Steel".

Dubbed "Fate of your Planet", the stakes are high in this new collage of footage and scenes showing what Kal-El faces to protect his adopted homeworld, and promotes what could very well be one of the most epic blockbuster films 2013 has to offer! The strange Viral Marketing "Static Transmissions" at the official "Man Of Steel" website has ended, and now appears the symbol and message of one General Zod (played by Michael Shannon), who wishes the return and surrender of one Kal-El... Better known to the world as Superman (Henry Cavill)!

Superman Reboot Update: Viggo Mortensen being considered as General Zod?

Imagine this - What if the actor who played "Aragorn" from "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy got to play the part of one of Superman's greatest foes, General Zod? That would certainly be an awesome idea... and now it's in the rumor mill!

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter and as posted by Slash Film, Viggo Mortensen is "A Person Of Interest" to play the part of General Zod, a well know enemy of Superman's family in Krypton, and a prominent figure in the Man of Steel's rogues gallery. Played in the original Superman movies by Terence Stamp, Zod is a megalomaniac Kryptonian with the same powers as Supes and a thirst for power and domination. Seeing as how Zack Snyder is working on the reboot along with Christopher Nolan, plus another rumor that Kevin Costner may be up for the role of Jonathan Kent, Viggo Mortensen would be an excellent choice to play the role of Zod should he be chosen and he accepts the role. I mean, just imagine him pitching that excellent charismatic voice he used as Aragorn, and twisting it into an evil and maniacal one that says "KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!", bwahahahaha!XD
