DC Direct's official toyline based on
Christopher Nolan's upcoming final
Batman movie "
The Dark Knight Rises" has leaked on the web, showing off statues, busts, and figurines based on
Batman,
Bane, and
Catwoman (played by
Christian Bale,
Tom Hardy, and
Anne Hathaway respectively). Not due to be revealed until the
New York Toy Fair next month, these pics show clearly how the figures will look, some obviously still prototypes and subject to changes at the moment.
While we all know how Batman and Bane look like in the movie, but this is the first real time we see a close up "official" look of Anne Hathaway's appearance as
Selina Kyle/ Catwoman in toy form. It's a pity that it doesn't take after the modern comic look of the character, but it certainly pays tribute to the 60's
Batman TV Series look, which was performed by acting legend Julie Newman. It literally looks like a typical "Cat Burglar" mixed with a "Ballroom Mask" motif, and hopefully we'll learn why this is the case when the movie arrives later this year.
