SDCC '22: DC Comics Panel Reveals "Dark Crisis" Real Name - "Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths"

During their panel at the returning San Diego Comic-Con being held this week, DC Comics has pulled the curtain and revealed the real name and title to their current crossover event in "Dark Crisis" - and it's "Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths".

Now being a direct sequel to the 1985 crossover storyline that changed the DC Universe and introduced the likes of the Monitor, Anti-Monitor, and the returning character turned antagonist Pariah, Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths will continue the stories and threads that have lingered on since Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis, The New 52, Convergence, DC Rebirth, Dark Nights Metal, and Dark Nights: Death Metal. With the Multiverse restored and the Omniverse ever present now in the DCU, the Infinite Frontier era has brought forth new possibilities - as well as the Death of the Justice League that jumpstarted the initial "Dark Crisis" storyline last May and is now leading to a new crisis where the world's greatest heroes are "dead", the villains are rising, and new champions will need to rise in order to combat the threats to the universe.

The newly renamed Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths will also have three new one-shots - The Deadly Green Dark Army, and War Zone. The Justice League will also return with issue #5 of the main Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths series on October. You can read all the details over at Newsarama.

Zack Snyder's Justice League: New Still of Jared Leto's Joker from "Justice is Gray" B/W edition surfaces online, Digital Red Carpet Replay on YT

As Zack Snyder's Justice League finally streams worldwide after its premiere yesterday, a brand new still featuring Jared Leto's Joker has surfaced in the interwebz - and it's an interesting one considering it's not in the final release of the 4 hour film. Much like the other promotional shots of the Clown Prince of Crime sitting down or holding a Joker card, this one sees the maniacal jester laughing as he holds up high the recognizable cowl of Ben Affleck's Batman.

The shot appeared in a Spanish DC Fan Twitter account, and was subsequently also reported by CBM.

Also ICYMI, the Digital Red Carpet for the Snyder Cut is now online and ready for a replay watch on YouTube if you missed it.

DC: Infinite Frontier expands to six issue summer event series beginning this June

Looks like this week's one-shot 64 page DC: Infinite Frontier was just a warm up of things to come for DC Comics' plans for the summer, as the publisher has officially announced that they are continuing things with a new six-issue miniseries for "Infinite Frontier". Here's the announcement from DC Comics themselves:

Infinite Frontier, a new six-issue miniseries by Joshua Williamson and Xermanico with covers by Mitch Gerads, begins on June 22 to further explore DC’s rapidly expanding Multiverse!

In this summer event, Alan Scott, the Green Lantern from the Justice Society of America, has noticed some of his allies are still missing in action, and he's determined to find them. There are others, though, that would rather remain hidden than explain themselves, like Roy Harper, a.k.a. Arsenal, a man who should be dead now is not. Plus, what does all this mean for the DCU's place in the Multiverse? On opposite sides of a dimensional divide, both Barry Allen and President Superman ponder this question. Not to mention the Darkseid of it all! Or a team of Multiversal heroes called Justice Incarnate!

Infinite Frontier #1 will be released on June 22.

Zack Snyder's Justice League gets a brand new trailer and synopsis

It's Valentine's Day weekend, and Warner Bros., HBO, and director Zack Snyder are sending some love to the fans looking forward to the "Snyder Cut" of the latter's Justice League film by releasing a brand new trailer for "Zack Snyder's Justice League" - which shows off more teases and scenes of what to expect from the four hour long movie coming to HBO Max!

Here's the new trailer along with the official synopsis below:

Zack Snyder's Justice League | Official Trailer | HBO Max

In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.

With a black suit Superman, a Bat-Tank, Joker, Darkseid, and more stuff in line with Snyder's vision of the film, we can expect something else to see when Zack Snyder's Justice League hits HBO Max this March 18.
