A few days ago while watching the Evo Championship Series, I stumbled upon this little piece of fictional documentary being played whilst waiting for the Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Grand Finals to begin.

Premiering on July 31st during the 3rd day of Evo 2k11, Balrog: Behind The Glory takes a look at the rise and eventual fall into corruption of one of the Street Fighter Universe's most aggressive and talented fighters. He may not be able to kick, but his punches more than make up for his lack of sweeps, footsies, and  roundhouses. Take a look at what made the boxing champ and Shadoloo enforcer what he is today. Think of it as a live action "Punch Out" movie, only focusing on the career of a promising boxer turned bad guy muscle for hire.

Besides showing off some insane fighting game skills in the Evo Championship Series, fighting game fanatics were able to bear witness to the Evo build gameplay demonstration of Namco Bandai Games' Tekken Tag Tournament 2! Slated for an Autumn 2011 release, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will blast into arcades first before making its way to consoles inevitably!

Evo 2k11 has new champions!

For the life of me, I haven't been this much hyped about an e-gaming tournament for the longest time. Every single year I tune in to the streams and see the Evo Championship Series roll in, it makes my heart skip and tense at the prospect that literally ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN at any given moment, and it just did!

With the results in, Evo 2011 has finally concluded and is in the books. I wasn't able to catch everything due to obvious time differences and schedules, but I pretty much caught the most important and latter segments of the championships, which were the Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition tournament finals!

Evo 2011 is happening now!

Taking place this weekend at good ol' Las Vegas, this year's Evo Championship Series Tournament, Evo 2011,  gathers all the world's greatest and hungriest fighting game players and makes them square off against one another for the top prize and to reign supreme! Fans and players of games like Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Blazblue: Continuum Shift II, Tekken 6, Marvel Vs Capcom 3, and Mortal Kombat better not miss this one! The best of the best will compete in exciting matches from these games, and even well known brawlers like Daigo Umehara and Justin Wong will be there!
