Those of you lucky enough (or unlucky depending on your expectations) to see the final episode and season of
Smallville saw
Tom Welling "complete the circle" and don the familiar red, blue, and yellow tights that signify his transformation into
Superman. While we all thought that was done and put to rest, apparently the adventure will still continue... But NOT in television that is.
Coming from a report at
Bleeding Cool and
Comic Book Movie, it appears that a new novel is being prepped and dubbed as "the 11th season" for Smallville, picking up where the series was supposed to have ended, where (SPOILER)
Chloe Sullivan tells the story of Superman to her son, and Clark races to the rooftop of the
Daily Planet and prepares to save the day. It's a similar move done by
Buffy The Vampire Slayer (in which continued with Season 8 and 9 in comic book form), and well-known
Batgirl and
DC Relaunch writer
Bryan Q. Miller is set to handle the novel duties, and it will be part of continuity. How the further adventures of
Clark Kent,
Lois Lane,
Oliver Queen, and
Chloe Sullivan goes is anybody's guess, but it's safe to say that fans of the show will be picking this one up when it comes out. For more info and details on the story, visit the source post at
Bleeding Cool and
CBM.
No official announcement for the Smallville 11th Season Novel has arrived, but stay tuned for updates soon.
