X-Men Movies: The next film will be set in the 1990's
In what certainly is a trend of era settings after beginning the franchise anew with the X-Men Prequel films starting with 2011's "X-Men: First Class", X-Men Movies producer Simon Kinberg has confirmed to Coming Soon that the next installment will be set in the 1990's, a period when the mutants were handled famously by artist Jim Lee and writer Chris Claremont, split into Teams "Blue" and "Gold" and the New Mutants evolved into X-Force.
While no details were privy after Kinberg confirmed the setting, it does follow the decade pattern that started with the 1960's in First Class, followed by the 1970's in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past, and then now in the 1980's with this year's upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. What the next film will be about is anyone's guess, but it will certainly be interesting if it still involved James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender's Professor X and Magneto, or spinoff to a new group of mutant protagonists.
X-Men: Apocalypse, the latest film in the series, will open on May 18 internationally and May 27 in the US.

Marvel teases "Years of Future Past" for 2015
And now we can add another tease to Marvel's BIG PLANS for 2015... And it's a revisit and rewording to a classic X-Men centered storyline and will feature the House of Ideas' merry band of mutants as the focus!
Shown in CBR and Newsarama as the latest tease in a round of posters that saw revisits to classic storylines, "Years of Future Past" sees the X-Men groups of yesteryear on the spotlight, with the classic line-up from the 70's and 80's to even Kitty Pryde in her "Kat Pryde" persona and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. If this is tieing in to the big "Marvel Super Heroes: Secret Wars" event that was announced in NYCC this year... It's going to be BIG for Marvel no doubt about it.
Stay tuned for more news as it follows.

Joblo presents The X-Men Retrospective
X-Men: Days of Future Past is finally in theaters worldwide, and many consider it THE BEST among the X-Films 20th Century Fox and Marvel have put up to date. I even wrote a review on the film, and can say with heartfelt joy and satisfaction that this movie mostly fixes any continuity issues past films have had, as well as giving hope for the franchise and whatever else lies down the line as it moves forward with new stories to pursue.
However, there may be a handful out there who are not familiar with the past X-Men Movies, which include the first two films Bryan Singer directed, the lukewarm X-Men: The Last Stand, the two Wolverine spin-off films, and finally the prequel masterpiece that was X-Men: First Class. Thankfully, movie news and trailers site Joblo has created this pretty neat retrospective video that highlights ALL THE FILMS leading to Days of Future Past, so if you need a brush up from 2000-2014, see this one!

Marvel Movies: Ben Kingsley returns in "All Hail The King" & Quicksilver revealed for X-Men: DOFP
"You'll Never See Me Coming..."
And those words make a lot of sense for those who have been anxiously waiting on news on two fronts of the Marvel Movie film spectrum - That of the new one-shot film "All Hail The King" attached to the Blu-Ray release of Marvel Studios Thor: The Dark World, and the look of Evan Peters as Pietro Maximoff... aka Magneto's son and Mutant Speedster, Quicksilver!
Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, we get our first details on what "All Hail The King" actually is, and while many thought it was a Thor Spin-Off featuring Tom Hiddleston as Loki, it actually follows the pattern many Marvel Studios films have done, which peaks at an episode related to the events of a previous film. Now it's continuing a thread that dangled on "Iron Man 3"... The whereabouts of Trevor Slattery, the British actor who portrayed the faux "Mandarin" and played by Sir Ben Kingsley!
"Ben Kingsley’s dim-witted Mandarin impersonator from Iron Man 3, who has been locked away in a maximum security prison and is reveling in his newfound infamy. (It’s as close to fame as he’s ever gotten.)"
Directed by Iron Man 3 screenplay writer Drew Pearce, here's what the man had to say:
"Imagine a real terrorist organization whose beliefs were long held and religious for thousands of years, and imagine a drunk, British actor coming along and essentially telling the world that he’s the face of your organization. I think they would be right to be quite angry."
And what exactly holds next for a fake terrorist inside a maximum security prison? Who knows? but it may build to the events for a succeeding Iron Man sequel if ever!
Meanwhile, a new image has popped up for Bryan Singer's return to directing the X-Men film franchise with this year's X-Men: Days of Future Past! Featuring Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine and Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy reprising their roles as the younger versions of Magneto and Professor X, this pic also happens to show for the very first time Evan Peters as Quicksilver! How he fits in this scene is still a mystery, but it could possibly be breaking his younger and future father out... And how is Xavier still walking after the events of X-Men: First Class? We can only wait until the film hits this May! For more information, visit the source post at Superherohype!
All Hail The King is packed along the Blu-Ray release of Thor: The Dark World, which hits on February 25!
X-Men: Days of Future Past unleashes itself on theaters on May 23, 2014!

X-Men: Days Of Future Past: Hugh Jackman may play Wolverine for the last time?
It's a stellar time for X-Men fans, as work is finally heading to post production for Bryan Singer's upcoming 2014 sequel to two X-Men timelines with "X-Men: Days Of Future Past". That being said, it may also be the last time Hugh Jackman reprises his signature role of Logan/ Wolverine, the fan favorite feral X-Man who's the best at what he does and is arguably the central figure in the X-Men film franchise.
