WandaVision is officially nine episodes, "Reality" TV Spot released

Set to premiere on Disney+ in less than two weeks, Marvel Studios and Disney have confirmed that WandaVision, the first Marvel Cinematic Universe TV Series that sets up Phase 4, is officially nine episodes long. That makes it an episode longer than a season of The Mandalorian - which had two sets of eight episodes on its first two seasons. The show will also run all the way to March, by which time the next series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, will premiere around that same month as well.

Check out the new TV Spot released for the show - which is called "Reality".

WandaVision to explore the origins of Scarlet Witch's powers

Looks like fans are going to get a lot of answers about the origins of Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch's powers when "WandaVision" premieres on Disney + on January next year, as Marvel Studios head and MCU architect Kevin Feige has teased in a feature by Empire that Elizabeth Olsen's character will be fleshed out as her romance with Paul Bettany's Vision continues in a seemingly fantasy alternate reality that more or less was created by her.

“If you look at the Infinity Saga, I don’t think any single person has gone through more pain and trauma than Wanda Maximoff. And no character seems to be as powerful as Wanda Maximoff. And no character has a power-set that is as ill-defined and unexplored as Wanda Maximoff,” MCU boss Kevin Feige tells Empire. “So it seemed exploring that would be worthwhile post-Endgame. Who else is aware of that power? Where did it come from? Did the Mind Stone unlock it?”

Read more about the Empire feature here and check out more photos there.

WandaVision will debut on Disney + on December 15.

ICYMI: WandaVision will debut in Disney + on January 2021

As fans held out to hope that the series would possibly air before the year ends on Disney's new streaming service, Marvel Studios and Disney have officially confirmed that "WandaVision" will instead premiere on Disney + in the middle of January next year instead. This makes 2020 only the second year without any representation for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the first time was in 2009 following the release of "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk" the previous year and no return for the saga until the release of "Iron Man 2" in 2010.

While that certainly is a bummer for some, the wait won't be so long and we'll get our chance to see Wanda Maximoff and Vision's alternate reality warping TV series in a few months. This will also set up the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" - where Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda is expected to play a big role in the Benedict Cumberbatch sequel following her adventures with Paul Bettany's Vision.

WandaVision is scheduled to start streaming on Disney + on January 15, 2021.

WandaVision featured in the cover of Entertainment Weekly

As the year prepares to hit its last month in a couple of weeks and not a single Marvel Studios theatrical release made due to the ongoing global pandemic postponing release dates, all eyes turn to the hopeful release of "WandaVision" - the Scarlet Witch/ Wanda Maximoff and Vision TV Series on Disney + that will reunite Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as the ill-fated Avengers couple who find themselves in a different reality that seems too perfect to be true.

Entertainment Weekly has spotlighted the upcoming series in their upcoming new issue as seen in the cover above, and talk in detail about what to expect from the six hour series when it premieres on Disney +. You can read about that in this link to their page.

WandaVision is tentatively slated to be released before 2020 ends, and will set up events leading to the Doctor Strange sequel - Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

"Black Widow" delayed until further notice due to Corona Virus

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Natasha Romanoff who were looking forward to the long awaited "Black Widow" solo film will have to be even more patient and understanding given the trying times in the world now, as Marvel Studios made the hard yet understandable decision to delay the film's release and pull it's late April/ Early May release date from theaters. This is due to the global pandemic that is the "Corona Virus" that is forcing countries into lockdown, community quarantines, and closing businesses and productions until further notice to try and stem more people from being infected by the virus.

Other Marvel projects like the upcoming TV Shows for Disney Plus in "Falcon and the Winter Soldier", "WandaVision", and "Loki" have suspended production as well, leading to an uncertain time when these programs will resume work and get a release window.

The folks behind the first three phases of the movies that make up “The Infinity Saga” are ready to make the next big leap forward - starting with the newest film coming to theaters in a few months in “Black Widow” - which sees Scarlet Johansson returning as Natasha Romanoff and set after the events of “Captain America: Civil War”.

Marvel Studios CCXP ‘19 panel showcases new looks at Black Widow, WandaVision, and Falcon and the Winter Solider

Marvel Studios has been pretty busy preparing for what’s to come with “Phase 4” of their Marvel Cinematic Universe - filming their upcoming new shows in Disney’s new “Disney +” streaming platform as well as hyping up the new contingent of films that will hit theaters next year - including the new “Black Widow” solo movie that features Scarlett Johansson’s return as Natasha Romanoff. Above is a brand new poster that was revealed in this year’s CCXP ion Brazil (via Comic Book Movie), which shows off the Miss Johansson in all her serious glory as the super spy.

Also seen via Comic Book Movie is new stills from the currently being filmed “Falcon and The Winter Soldier” TV Series - with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan back as Sam and Bucky!

Then we get a new look at “WandaVision” - featuring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany back as Scarlet Witch and Vision - albeit in a new pic that looks like it’s in a 50’s Sitcom setting. That may clue in to the plot that is probably an adaptation of what has happened in the comics - where Wanda used her reality warping powers to set up the perfect family life for her and Vision - bringing to life two children as well.

The new Marvel films and shows will be showing up between 2020 and 2021 respectively.
