Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Marvel tweets new image featuring Victoria Hand

Looks like things are going to get deadly serious for Agent Phil Coulson and his crew of special agents when ABC and Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." return from their hiatus, as not only does the mystery of Coulson's resurrection and his rescue loom in the horizon, but also the fact that there may be more going on behind-the-scenes than the peacekeeping organization is willing to let on... And this new image tweeted by Marvel shows one of the heads, Victoria Hand, marching with troops behind her for some serious confrontation.

Now how does this play into the upcoming mid-season premiere episode "The Magical Place"? We'll just have to see next week when the show returns on January 7!

Geared up for a return early next year, the 11th episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may finally answer the long and lingering question that's been the cornerstone of the show since it began... How did Agent Phil Coulson return from death after the events of Marvel's The Avengers?

Marvel and Netflix pair up to bring Daredevil, Power Man, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones and unite them as The Defenders!

Big news has come once again to those looking forward to some new Marvel shows, as The Walt Disney Co. and Netflix have announced something exciting for fans of some particular New York-based Marvel Heroes who will not only be getting their own individual serialized programs, but eventually lead up to one big miniseries event!

Announced and reported by sites like Superherohype, it appears that Marvel TV will be developing four shows based on the heroes "Daredevil", "Iron Fist", "Power Man/ Luke Cage", and "Jessica Jones", each holding their own live-action television series that will run for about thirteen episodes each! The project, which will be produced by Marvel Television and ABC Television Studios, is expected to begin in 2015, and all individual character's series will converge into a separate team mini-series called "Marvel's The Defenders", which follows the same kind of formula as the films and heroes features in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where heroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor  had their own movies and eventually teamed up in one mega-blockbuster hit film that was "Marvel's The Avengers"!

This is definitely big and awesome news, especially for fans of Marvel Knights, Daredevil, Power Man/ Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones/ Alias! After bringing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D into the fold and experimenting with the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the small screen, it isn't a surprise that Marvel Entertainment is taking this approach, and having recently reacquired the rights back to Daredevil, this will do nicely to bring all the heroes together, big and small screen combined! Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: "FZZT" clip shows Agent Coulson knows something's up after "The Avengers"

Already five episodes down and with the sixth premiering this coming Tuesday, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has become quite the popular show, set in the same universe as the movies that make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe and featuring the resurrected Agent Phil Coulson (played by Clark Gregg) leading a team of specially trained individuals on an ongoing global peace-keeping and superhuman activity mission.

How that pans out on it's entire 22 episode first season run still remains a cool mystery, but so do the subtle themes and references that connect the show to it's big screen brethren, including the big question that spins right out 2012's The Avengers: How did Agent Coulson survive... And is it really him?

Marvel Movies: Ben Kingsley teases "Secret Marvel Project"

And it looks like Ben Kingsley may have a surprise up his sleeve.

After playing the *SPOILER* dual role of The Mandarin/ Trevor Slattery on Iron Man 3, it appears that work on the Marvel Cinematic Universe may not be done yet for the British actor. According to an interview from Belfast Telegraph, Kingsley teases the fact straight:


It’s a secret Marvel project. I’m not allowed to say any more, you’re going to have to wait and see… I was with many members of the crew that were involved in ‘Iron Man 3.’ It was lovely to see them again. It was great to be with this wonderful family… I think they have enormous taste as creative artists. There’s nothing lazy or gratuitous about their work. They are at the top of their game, and they’re great company to keep.

What that secret project is? It's anyone's guess.

May it be a Marvel One-Shot like Agent Carter w/ Haley Atwell or a special cameo appearance on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, who knows what Marvel Studios and Disney have in store for us? One things for sure, Kingsley's coming back in some form or way, as Slattery or something entirely new. Let's wait and see. This time in a possible full-length TV series that Marvel is considering!

With Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D set to premiere this coming Tuesday, Marvel Studios isn't pulling the stops and is likely going to focus on expanding their Marvel Cinematic Universe outright... Even if it's trips back to the past! Hayley Atwell is also set to make a small return in next year's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but plans for the potential TV show are still just that... Set to premiere this month and taking place in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe that Marvel Studios has created for its movies, ABC has released a cool "Behind The Scenes" video featuring the cast of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.LD". 

With actor Clark Gregg in the lead and reprising his role as Agent Phil Coulson, the man who was the heart of the special peace keeping task force is back to lead a new team of elite agents assigned to safeguard the populace.

Coming next month and heralding the return of Marvel Cinematic Universe fan favorite S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Phil Coulson, a new poster has gone online for ABC and Joss Whedon's small screen Marvel series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D". Focusing on the world peace keeping task force and it's cast of secret operatives dedicated to helping humanity and keeping watch over superhuman activity across the globe.

After months of production teases and photos, Marvel has finally unveiled the curtain and details to their upcoming new live action TV Series that spins directly off their Marvel Cinematic Universe - Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.LD!

The big highlight is, of course, the return of Clark Gregg in his signature role of Agent Phil Coulson, who was last seen in "The Avengers" and seemingly met a tragic demise that inspired Earth's Mightiest Heroes to rally up and take down Loki once and for all. Apparently that isn't the case, and Coulson's back to bring together a new team of agents for the "Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division". How he came back is the mystery we all want to know... As well as seeing the new TV series that's been picked up by ABC!
