Star Wars: New Trilogy Movies and Spinoffs by Disney come out annually starting 2015

Looks like big Star Wars news has hits once more.

According to Disney's own Alan Horn when he was interviewed at this year's Cinema Con, the studio that already owns LucasFilm Ltd. and the keys to the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises is looking to make the next 'Wars Trilogy saga and its subsequent spinoffs a yearly thing... Much like the other property owned by the company which is Marvel and its film centered "Marvel Cinematic Universe"!

According to reports by Bleeding Cool and Geek Tyrant, Disney is looking to release Episode VII with J.J. Abrams directing as scheduled, but will follow things up with a Star Wars film spin-off the next year on 2016. Whether it will be the rumored character film that may concentrate on a character like Han Solo or Boba Fett is anyone's guess, but the next chapter of the main trilogy being Episode VIII follows the year after on 2017. From that pattern another spin-off follows, and then the final chapter of the new trilogy comes in with Episode IX.

So there you have it. Potential and straight Star Wars films each year starting 2015. It's two years from now, so there's a lot to look forward to and updates still in the making.

Star Wars: J.J Abrams to helm Episode VII; Won't feature Drew Struzan artwork

Looks like the new generation of Star Wars films under Walt Disney Pictures is going to take off in a big way, as Lost and current Star Trek films helmer J.J. Abrams has confirmed that he is directing Episode VII! Via a report in TheWrap and posted in newssites like Superherohype, Abrams has been continually asked to direct the new SW film, and being a big fan of the universe itself, has finally agreed to do so. Check out the source post at Superherohype for more on the scoop!

Unfortunately, the new films under Walt Disney Pictures and LucasFilms Ltd. won't be seeing one thing returning, and that's legendary artist Drew Struzan. Known for his amazing posters in the classic Star Wars and Indiana Jones films, the artist took to his official Facebook Page and wrote a post called "Misunderstood...", confirming that he isn't returning and that Disney hasn't contacted him for work. For more on this as well as Struzan's belief to leave things to a new generation, visit the source post at Cinema Blend.

The new Star Wars film is expected to hit theaters on 2015!

Star Wars: Original Trilogy characters will return for Episode VII

Since the BIG acquisition news of LucasFilm Ltd. by Disney for $4.05 Billion Dollars, the very next project and priority for the new merger is the next trilogy of Star Wars films. Confirmed for release on 2015, "Episode VII" already has a screenwriter on board in the form of Michael Arndt, who's credentials include Toy Story 3 and the next installment of The Hunger Games film series, Catching Fire. What was also rumored was that three of the key characters involved with the original Star Wars trilogy (Episode IV, V, and VI) were in talks to appear in the new "Disney era" film series, namely Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, and Han Solo. News from ENewsi and the Hollywood Reporter confirms that 2/3 of that trio will return.
