The Avengers: A new banner ad appears
Spotted at Fandago's home page and posted over at Comic Book Movie, a new banner ad has appeared for Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures upcoming superhero team flick "The Avengers", and it looks a slight improvement over the previously released theatrical poster that was met with mixed reactions from fans. The new banner has new poses for Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth), plus the first poster appearance of Cobie Smulders as S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Maria Hill! Cap in battle pose and with the mask on is a big improvement over the previous poster, but Robert Downey Jr. still steals the center spotlight as Tony Stark/ Iron Man. One can only hope we get a better poster after this... But it's a long shot as there's only less than two months left until this baby hits theaters! For more on the story, visit the source post at Fandago and CBM!

The Dark Knight Rises: "The Legend Ends..." Teaser Poster
December is a big month for fans of Christopher Nolan and Batman. It heralds the release of the much anticipated prologue of "The Dark Knight Rises" with IMAX screenings of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. It also saw the rise of the viral marketing campaign for the movie by Warner Bros, plotting down clues and various interactive material for fans to decipher in order to learn information related to the movie (and in the case of Operation: Early Bird, the locations of early screenings of the prologue).
Now, as mentioned months before and to probably usher in the debut of the new trailer sometime this month, Warner Bros. has released the newest poster for The Dark Knight Rises, and it signals the coming of Bane (played by Tom Hardy), and the end of an era that started in 2005 and skyrocketed with an awesome sequel in 2008. Take a look at the one sheet!
Very nice, and it echoes the promise of Bane "breaking the bat" ala the classic Batman storyline "Knightfall", where The Dark Knight's spine was broken by the brute. It follows the style of the past Nolan Batman movie posters, and is quite epic-looking indeed. For more info, check out the source post at SuperHeroHype!
The Dark Knight Rises and legends end on July 20, 2012!
