Gwyneth Paltrow announces that she's retiring as Pepper Potts in the MCU

Looks like it truly is time for some of the familiar personalities of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to move on following whatever the events of Avengers: Endgame brings, as Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Gwyneth Paltrow has chimed in through Variety that she is planning to retire her Marvel Cinematic Universe character of Pepper Potts - the love interest and former secretary of Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.

“I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point. I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked into it. I was friend with [‘Iron Man’ director] Jon Favreau. It was such a wonderful experience making the first ‘Iron Man’ and then to watch how important it has become to fans.”

In the article, Paltrow didn't completely close doors and said could come back for a cameo or flashback.

"I feel honored to be a part of something that people are so passionate about,” she said. “Of course, if they said, ‘Can you come back for a day?,’ I will always be there if they need me.”

First appearing in 2008's Iron Man, Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper has been the heart and conscience beside RDJ's Tony, always counter-arguing his eccentric nature and willing to lend his boss/ boyfriend the support she can give him during his adventures as a superhero. She eventually becomes the CEO of Stark Industries while Tony is busy as the armored avenger, and eventually is proposed to by Stark and currently engaged during the events of Avengers: Infinity War. We'll find out soon enough if she will be in "Rescue" mode or otherwise when Avengers: Endgame hits this April.

Iron Man 3: Clear Tony/ Pepper poster and International Trailer #2

After the debut of the awesome 2nd trailer yesterday, Marvel Studios and the official Iron Man Facebook page have released a clearer version of the "Tony/ Pepper" poster for "Iron Man 3", featuring Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow in their signature roles and facing some kind of danger in front of them with the Iron Legion and ships flying in the background!

Iron Man 3: Another new poster emerges - "Tony/ Pepper"

As promotions continue for Iron Man 3, another new poster appears for the movie, this time showing Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow together in one splash where Tony Stark/ Iron Man and his love interest, Pepper Potts, are obviously preparing for the worst, with a damaged Mark 47 armor and some controlled Iron Men armor flying in the background!

Following the release of several character posters which includes Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin, Marvel Studios and the official Iron Man Facebook movie page have revealed the next entry in the series with a new one featuring Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts in this ominous looking poster for "Iron Man 3".

In the new one sheet, Pepper holds a damaged Iron Man helmet, which could either signify the aftermath of the attack at Stark's house in Los Angeles, or something that happens later when he clashes with The Mandarin. Contagion unleashes a terrifying trailer!

Warner Bros. has a lot of good films rolling out this fall, and one of them happens to be a movie that touches on a subject that is as real as it is scary. This September, Warner Bros. unleashes "Contagion", an action-thriller that focuses on the outbreak of a deadly virus and the threat it presents worldwide, with humanity responding to it

Directed by the man who gave us Erin Brockovich and the Ocean's trilogy of movies, Steven Soderbergh leads an all-star cast in the forms of Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Marion Cotillard, and Gwyneth Paltrow, and the delivery in the trailer by the stars alone lands quite a punch for those into suspense films with realistic tension in the air.
