Today marks the Battle of Earth and Iron Man's Sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame

If you're a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the films Marvel Studios has created, then today's date is significant as it marks one of the most important events in cinema history.

On this date in the fictional MCU timeline (October 17, 2023), the "Battle of Earth" takes place and the victims of Thanos' Snap/ The Blip are restored to life thanks to the Avengers -  culminating in an epic battle against the time-displaced Thanos and his armies that sees the villain defeated and Iron Man sacrificing his life to make that victory a reality.

To think this film eerily mirrors what we went through with the pandemic the past couple of years and coming back from it after isolation for a few years. Celebrate by rewatching "Avengers: Endgame".

Four Years Ago, The First “Avengers: Endgame” Teaser Was Released

In what seemed like only yesterday but actually was released four years ago this day - Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, and The Russo Brothers unleashed the very first trailer and title reveal to the then unnamed fourth Avengers film - which was revealed to be “Avengers: Endgame” at the end of a teaser that was built upon the fallout of “Avengers: Infinity War” in which Thanos succeeded in eliminating half of life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In many ways it’s ironic that we look back at this moment in movie history and relate it to what has happened thus far - the world is continuing to cope and rise back up following a pandemic that, similar to The Snap, has changed life as we know it and is eerily similar to what the characters in the film had to do after that and post-Blip.

Watch the trailer again here.

Hot Toys Reveals Avengers: Endgame Captain America Stealth Suit 1/6th Figure

Leave it to Hong Kong based toy manufacturer Hot Toys to rerelease another fan-favorite Marvel Studios look and costume, as Captain America’s “Stealth Suit” makes a return to the 1/6th scale line!

Worn first during 2014’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, and then making a small yet welcomed return during the beginning of “Avengers: Endgame”, the suit worn by Steve Rogers while serving alongside S.H.I.E.L.D will be offered once again by Hot Toys along with a few new improvements and accessories. The most noticeable one of course is the charred Infinity Gauntlet that he and the Avengers find when they confront Thanos in his garden house, and of course it has a swappable head featuring the likeness of Chris Evans!

Check out Hot Toys on Facebook for more pics and details on the upcoming 1/6th scale Stealth Suit Cap’s release!

Chris Evans may return as Captain America as star in talks for new Marvel project appearance

He can definitely do this all day, and it looks like Cap fans may see Chris Evans again - as Deadline reports that the Captain America Trilogy and Avengers films actor is in talks with Marvel Studios again to reprise his role as Steve Rogers/ Captain America in a future Marvel project!

According to the report, Evans is still in negotiations and may actually return as Steve Rogers in some capacity. While he got a pretty awesome ending and retired the stars and stripes to pass on his shield to Sam Wilson/ Falcon (Anthony Mackie)  - who will go on to star alongside Bucky Barnes/ Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) in "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier", Evans time as Steve Rogers/ Captain America could still factor into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a similar way that Robert Downey Jr. did for the other MCU films outside of Iron Man - namely the Avengers movies and Spider-Man: Homecoming. As Steve travelled back to the past to return the Infinity Stones to their rightful time periods - that leaves an opening for young Cap's return even if he grew old and had a happy life with Peggy Carter. Then again, it could be many other things now - since the Multiverse will be explored in "Phase 4" of the MCU with WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2.

Anything is possible at this point. All we have to do is wait and see how Cap returns.

Anthony Mackie talks about his Captain America future in the MCU and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

The Marvel Cinematic Universe returns this year with the beginning of "Phase 4" with "WandaVision" premiering its first two episodes on Disney+ this January 15, but fans are also looking forward to the next couple of programs coming from Marvel Studios that are slated to hit Disney's streaming service - including "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier" which reunites Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as Steve Rogers/ Captain America's pals Sam Wilson/ Falcon and Bucky Barnes/ Winter Soldier.

During an interview with The Jess Cagle Show, Anthony Mackie stated that while he got the shield from an elderly Steve Rogers at the end of Avengers: Endgame, he isn't quite Captain America yet and that will be explored in the upcoming series which also introduces John Walker/ US Agent as played by Wyatt Russell.

“No, we don’t know that yet,” said Mackie. “The show, the idea of the show is basically, you know, and at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Cap decided he was going into retirement and he asked me if I would take up the shield, but at no point in time, did I agree to or say that I would be Captain America. So the show walks the line of who is going to take up the shield and who’s going to be Captain America if Steve isn’t coming back.”

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier starts streaming on Disney + on March.

Chris Evans gives his thoughts on whether he would play Captain America again after "Avengers: Endgame"

After playing the character with such gravitas and conviction in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chris Evans has opened up and given his thoughts in a recent interview whether or not he'd return to the role of Steve Rogers/ Captain America in future Marvel Studios films, or if it was really the end of his journey as the Star Spangled Avenger after getting the happy ending and life he wanted with the love of his life at the conclusion of "Avengers: Endgame".

"Yes, I think it is." Evans said while speaking with The Graham Norton Show (via an article by Digital Spy). "It was a great run and we went out on such a high note that it would be risky to revisit it in my opinion. It was such a good experience and I think it's better left that way," he added. "It's not a hard no, but it's not an eager yes either. I think Cap had such a tricky act to stick the landing, and I think they did a really nice job letting him complete his journey."

Much as fans would like to see Chris wield the shield once again, his character in an elderly Steve Rogers passed the mantle to one of his best friends - Sam Wilson aka The Falcon. You'll be seeing the would be new Cap alongside Steve's World War II pal Bucky Barnes in the Disney + series "Falcon and The Winter Soldier" pretty soon - so the legacy of Captain America lives on there with the two men whom he trusted and fought alongside with the most.

Avengers: Endgame concept art shows Captain America making a defiant stand against Thanos' army

As 2019 draws to a close, there's no denying that Marvel Studios delivered quite an epic conclusion with "Avengers: Endgame" - the 22nd Marvel Studios film and the final chapter of  "The Infinity Saga" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that saw the heroes doing "Whatever It Takes" to defeat Thanos and undo the damage he caused with the Infinity Gauntlet. Now courtesy of artist and Marvel Studios' Head of Visual Development Ryan  Meinerding - we see one of the many concept art pieces used for the film - wherein Captain America stands alone but defiantly against the Mad Titan Thanos and his army of followers bent on following his destiny.

Endgame is also arguably one of the best films of the year and up there with the best of this decade as well. What do you think?

You can check out more concept art via Comic Book Movie - which are also featured in the already released "The Art of Avengers: Endgame" artbook now out in stores and retail shops.

Hot Toys unveils Life-Sized "Nano Gauntlet" from Avengers: Endgame

In what certainly is a new piece of hardware for Stark Industries that determines the fate of the universe thanks to the power of the Infinity Stones it wields, Hot Toys and Marvel have unveiled in their Facebook page the "Nano Gauntlet", along with some brand new upcoming collectibles based on Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Endgame" - the EPIC and EMOTIONAL conclusion to "The Infinity Saga" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the 22nd film released in the franchise.

As the name suggests, the Nano Gauntlet is the creation of Tony Stark, Professor Hulk, and Rocket Raccoon to house their newly acquired Infinity Stones from the Time Heist they pulled through the events of the film. Made with the same nanotech that powers Tony Stark's new set of Iron Man armors, this is the replacement to the Infinity Gauntlet Thanos once used to decimate half the universe with a Snap... And the heroes seek to undo the damage with their own attempt to bring back the fallen and lost from five years ago. This Life-Sized replica looks absolutely stunning, and will no doubt go along with any collector's arsenal and display of figures and replicas. Check the Hot Toys Facebook page for more pictures and info!

Avengers: Endgame: The Russo Brothers reveal "original title"; SiriusXM spoiler-filled interview details movie events

Almost two weeks have passed since the EPIC and EMOTIONAL finale of Marvel Studios' "Infinity Saga" hit with "Avengers: Endgame" - the 22nd film in the long running Marvel Cinematic Universe that picks up where 2018's "Avengers: Infinity War" left off and sees the surviving heroes make a stand to do "Whatever It Takes" to undo the decimation Thanos caused with the power of the Infinity Stones.

According to a report by Superherohype, during an interview with the HappySadConfused podcast, The Russo Brothers revealed that the "original title" going for Endgame turned out to be "Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet" - which is the title of the 1991 Marvel Comics miniseries "The Infinity Gauntlet" - the story that inspired most of Infinity War and Endgame. Obviously it was one of those things to throw off suspicion that one of Doctor Strange's last words "We're in the Endgame now" was a hint at the title.

Then there is this AWESOME Spoiler-Filled Endgame interview with the director brothers by SiriusXM - which you have to watch.

Avengers: Endgame: One week already, but "Don't Spoil The Endgame" for others

As a week finally passes and the box office tally of the film grows exponentially past the billion mark, Marvel Studios reminds many fans who have seen "Avengers: Endgame" to NOT SPOIL THINGS for those who still need to see it - to the extent they have released this spot with the stars encouraging everyone: "Don't Spoil The Endgame".

Here's the video. If you STILL NEED convincing even with the spoilers, here's my review of the movie.
