New Black Widow Trailer shows off more action from the MCU film coming this July 9

Following its push to a new release date a couple of months later, Marvel Studios and Disney have released a brand new trailer for "Black Widow" - which shows more of what to expect from the Scarlett Johansson superhero film that sees Natasha Romanoff reuniting with her roots and facing new enemies and dangers such as the skilled and mysterious Taskmaster.

Black Widow delayed yet again to July, and will premiere in theaters along with a Disney + Premier Access release

Those who were waiting on news on whether or not Disney and Marvel would release Black Widow this May in US theaters finally have their answer, as the Marvel Studios film and the first movie for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been delayed again to a new release date of July 9 for cinemas. However this time the film is also getting a Disney + release on the same day - as part of Disney + Premier Access and will be available for a premium price to watch via streaming.

The delay of Black Widow comes as no surprise, as only some theaters are only starting to open slowly and safely in some territories in the US and worldwide while others are still closed down. The delay may be to give time for others to recover, but as Phase 4 has already started with Disney + TV shows in WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Marvel Studios needs to play catch up in releasing their films soon and not see another delay for this film - which was originally scheduled for release last year but was delayed due to the pandemic.

Black Widow: New promotional art appears online for the upcoming MCU film

It’s been topsy turvy for the movie industry as far as release dates go for upcoming movies, and that includes tentpoles and blockbusters like the “Black Widow” solo film that finally gives actress Scarlett Johansson her own MCU solo outing as Natasha Romanoff set after the events of “Captain America: Civil War”. Marvel Studios’ first movie of “Phase 4” has been delayed however due to the ongoing pandemic happening worldwide, and its fall release window is still not a guarantee to happen. However, that doesn’t mean that the promotional stuff has taken time off, and some new promo artwork has been spotted online via Twitter as reported by Comic Book.com.

Black Widow is still scheduled for a November 2020 release.
